One could say that GOG Galaxy is a simply stellar platform.

These past couple of days have been full of good news here at the office! First, our partners in crime CD PROJEKT RED told the world that 4 million copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been sold. Now we’re here to announce that in the first two weeks almost 700 thousand gamers worldwide have gone with GOG Galaxy as their monster-huntin’ platform - more than all other PC options combined!

Headcount: Over 693,000 gamers worldwide
Volume: Over 21.5 petabytes of game and bonus content
Achievements: 3.5 million unlocked
Combined game time: 1,770 years (that’s 646,479 full 24-hour days)

See the video below for more stats about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on GOG.com!

Charon121: Achievements are just going to trigger my gaming OCD, so I'd better not install it. :)

BKGaming: You will be able to soon disable them if you want.

Hmm, you may have sold me on it. I'll definitely try it...once it comes out of beta.

Parliamentarian: only because most of the gog copies came for free with a graphics card purchase
My copy of HL2 came with my Radeon 9800XT, I was on dial up at the time. Took my PC into work to use their ISDN line to download HL2. It went downhill with me and Steam a few years later.

Though I doubt many of the 700'000 pc copies where due to GFX bundles.
I got my copy on GOG. Honestly, if I could I'd move my entire game library to GOG and uninstall steam from my machine.
Honestly, I only have the GoG version because it came with my GTX970.

I rarely buy games at launch.... I prefer to wait until reviews hit and patches are applied before I pick up my copy.

If my copy wasn't a card pack in I probably would have picked up the Steam copy.

It's not that GoG Galaxy gives me any issues, but I only open it to play the witcher 3.
Same thing with EA's Origin, I only use it when I need to play EA games...

You don't have to use Galaxy to install and run the game though. Just saying. ;)
I was worried that all the pre-launch hype was going to lead to disappointment. Quite the opposite! Witcher 3 has completely SURPASSED my expectations! It's BRILLIANT! The intricate plots, the characters, the scenery, weather, dialogue, voice acting, fighting.... all fantastic!
BTW: 1770 YEARS game time? My daughter says there are some people out there who need to go outside for a bit...
time tracking based off saves. Lost 30 some hours on gog stats playing in offline not complaning just leting you know. No save data was lost.
