BillyMaysFan59: What I'm hoping is that they do a better job on this than those prequels...
Even though I will defend Revenge of the Sith to my deathbed, I have little doubt people will enjoy The Force Awakens more than the prequels, for one it won't have Lucas's ham-fisted dialogue, that's already a big improvement.

Also, Brienne of Tarth as a fucking uber-stormtrooper.

Elmofongo: I'm scared of this movie. If it is as shit as The Phantom Menace oh man:

Cinemasins, Screen Junkies, Red Letter Media, Channel Awesome, Moviebob, and others are going to have a field day :P

Breja: Here's a hint: You don't have to watch/read any of that.
Here's the thing I know its going to be talked about on every forums in every website.

Everyone is going to talk about the movie and how bad it is if that is the case.

And you'll go to that special hell shortly thereafter :D
It doesn't matter. The director is one of the worst ever and so in my mind it is already completely ruined and I am not going to watch the new movies, as huge of a Star Wars fan as I am, actually, because I am such a huge fan I refuse to watch them.

No chance. The prequels aren't all that bad, really. Not great, sure, but certainly bound to remain better than some JJ Abrams ruination.

Is there some sort of medication you should be taking? You're clearly delirious.

No, I simply don't let Jar Jar and bad Natalie Portman acting and some mediocre writing ruin 3 movies with many more good qualities for me. I can't stand any scene in II with Natalie Portman, but every other scene in the movie is really good, but those scenes are so bad they detract from the feeling of good. I is simply a little kid-ish and I can forgive that because of trying to appeal to a younger generation (I don't like how childish it is, but I understand and forgive it), III is dark and culminates everything from the 5 other movies SO well, it makes me cry. The editing+soundwork for all of them is phenomenal, pacing is great, story, as always, is been top notch (sure, it's not written the best it could have been, but still great ideas), but what really makes them great is the depictions of good vs. evil and how there is much grey between the paths of one to the other and how one falls to being evil and can be redeemed by simply embracing the good and letting go of the bad. Ugh, there's so much in them. They are great because of their mythos. Joseph Campbell would be impressed by all that is packed into those movies.

Also, could you try and be less of an ass when replying to someone if you actually want to have conversation and not just be an ass to them? As far as you know I suffer from severe mental disorders and am on all sorts of medications, but even if that is not true (it's not), your words are extremely insensitive and ignorant and you should check what you say before you say it or someday someone somewhere is going to respond not very well (shoot you in the face, sort of thing.)

Eh? Miss Portman was the only reason to watch those films.
Prequels were good enough for me. But I'll take another one.

If you think Natalie Portman is anywhere near the top problems of those movies you're so wrong it's almost scary.

It makes me almost want to cry too. With how badly written and poorly executed it all is. Really, people like you amaze me. Episode III is so abyssmaly bad in how it handles Anakin's turning to evil I can not even begin to comprehend how anyone could see it as anything other than downright offensive to the audience.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. People do say things like "are you crazy?" or "are you insane?" without meaning it literally, this was obviously meant the same way.
I was very weary about them bringing back Boba Fett, and then even more so when I heard about the casting, but judging from this still I'm really starting to like it! :D
Might need to watch them. Watched the first two and stopped halfway into the third. Haven't felt the need to continue. :l
Well this is interesting

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/09/29/star-wars-the-force-awakens-rides-high-expectations/

people actually expect this to be the best movie in the franchise. Though the reason why they think so (better technology=better special effects=better movie) says a lot about those people...
not good. werent they still incorportating use of old fashioned models in the new movie?
Have to say, I would rate this high just for the kickass-itude of Mission Impossible 3 alone. But that's just me.

We've had long discussions about my movie selection already.

"You have ten seconds before I blow her brains out. 10!, 9!, 8!..."

"Eight Ethan, Eight! Where the F**k is the Rabbits Foot!"

"It's not in Paris Ethan. Seven!"

I'm gonna do favors to the star wars fans in the GOG community.

I'm gonna watch this movie myself and then I am going to tell you all about it.
