Plenty of aussies here.
I don't think just downloading the client will do it though, you'd need to create an account.. which you already have done to post here.
Yep i did that right away.

What email to grant you access? You still have to log in to the client... with the same account you logged in here.

Do you mean the email that gives you verification code? If so, it may take up to a minute to appear. Check also your spam folder if it's there.

If it's something else, then not sure what meant with that.

Check your spam folder.
Yeah I think the GOG account works for Galaxy, forum and website. So try using the login details you used to post here in the Galaxy client.
I downloaded the client and created an account over an hour ago.
online this is a lifetime, why so slow ??
I checked the "spam files"

When it asks for this code, is there an option to resend it in case it didn't arrive? Still doesn't explain why the first one never arrived, but may be worth a try.

There is no such thing as a 4 digit code to activate it, nor is there a respective e-mail.
Simply download and install GOG Galaxy and login with the same credentials you're using for this website.

GOG Galaxy is available for computers running Windows 7 or newer and Mac OS X.
This might be a stupid remark from my side, but just to prevent any misunderstanding, there is no mobile app for GOG Galaxy and it has nothing to do with Samsung Galaxy.

I don't use Galaxy, but since GOG made two-step authentication mandatory, perhaps the first time you go to use Galaxy, or log on to it, you need the 4-digit code they send to you, in the same manner as to log on to your account when trying to access it from a new computer, or if you log out each time? Perhaps that's his problem, and he's just not getting the email, for whatever reason

Good point, that could be it. +1
I haven't used two-step authentication, yet, thus not thinking of this.

@fluffy762: You can turn off two-step authentication in your account settings on gog.com (see here) and Galaxy works by simply logging in.

To me GOG asked for the 4 digit code for both the website and Galaxy, when I logged in the first time. Funny enough that they kept asking me the 4 digit code every single time I logged in, but after the announcement of making two step authentication active for all, I haven't needed it once.

GOG asks for the 4-digit code in order to turn it off, so they're equally stuck if they can't/don't receive those emails for some reason.
