Nirth: Anyway, I'm greatly looking forward to the single player regardless specifically because of the open ended areas with larger space and more options to kill. I can't say the disguise system was a favourite of mine in Absolution but overall I really enjoyed it (not as much as SA or BM though).
I really enjoyed Absolution as well, but a lot of hardcore fan's of the franchise didn't eventhough it is still very much a Htiman game on higher difficulties apart from the ridiculousness of the disguise system. I even liked the story of the game, which I know didn't really gel with Agent 47's persona but it made him more interesting IMO.

The online Contracts mode really added a lot of replay value to the game and all the online stuff they are referring to like timed contracts is probabily part of the evolution of that mode so I don't think there is much cause for concern until we see and hear more about the game.

While I can't quite believe they are rebooting Hitman and find it unnecessary, I must say it does looks amazing and it seems the target elimination possibilities will be the most numerous in the series.

Don't believe this will be online in the "play it with others" manner. No multi-player is mentioned on Steam page.
They will probably have challenges (which you'll have to get online of course) and leaderboards.
I found the new Hitman game on Steam last night too. I'm STOKED!! Though... my laptop won't be able to run it at all.

Not. One. Bit. :D

The graphics looks spectacular and they seemed to do a great job on modelling Agent 47. I'm not sure how I feel about a Hitman game if it's strictly online play. My favorite part about the franchise is the sort of atmosphere of offline play. Kind of brings a sense of loneliness is a way?? If that makes sense?? The life he leads is very lonely and I think offline play against simulated guards and various NPCs fits the game quite well. I wasn't entirely impressed with Absolution though. I thought they would bring some sort of interactive online play at least. Creating missions is cool and a great feature, but interaction with other players would have been nice... though I don't see how it would work, seeing how easy it would be to spot another player 'moving fluidly' amongst the wandering NPCs. The modelling of 47 is very important to me in the franchise though. So easy to be turned off by his appearance (like with the Hitman movie and Contracts [I think he looked a bit funny in that one]). Seems like they made him look darker, focused and grisly.

I guess we'll see how it goes. I can't wait to see some in-game footage!

For the record though, the storyline of Absolution was pretty great. Silent Assassin (Hitman 2) was by far the best though.
I refuse to bite until I know more. Absolution was the reason I even ended up with a Steam account originally.

Absolution was a good game, not a perfect Hitman game, but it was good. So if they can pull that off again I would be at least happy.
Any online crap they can keep and if the game is going online then they can blow any chance of me buying right up their ***.
It sounded more like an RPG path style to me. If you choose to pursue one target another goes to ground and you miss the opportunity to assassinate them in that play through, affecting the outcome. But I doubt it will be that radical, I'll wait for the finished product before becoming enraged.
Interview

Much talking around it, but I'm sure not sold. At least they do say it's still single player, but too much community and the whole "evolving experience" seems episodic and whatnot.
I guess it may be an optional multiplayer mode. Turning Hitman into a MMO will ruin it. Also, there many gamers who are only interested in single player or offline mode. If developers force them to play mp/online, they will abandon those games.

Yeah, I'm not opposed to multiplayer-only games and I own some but I pretty much just never play them. I prefer games with a solid single player experience and optionally have a good multiplayer that adds value to that. Other game types are fine to have too but I may or may not be interested in them myself.

I don't think I'd buy a multiplayer-only or even multiplayer centric Hitman game. Most likely not, nor would I buy an episodic one nor a DLC nickel and dimefest.
Hitman's face-lift is awful in the trailer !
He looks like a baby ass :/
Must be because he shaved.
Check this http://weknowmemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/beard-vs-clean-shaven-baby-face.jpeg
:) but seriously, he looks weird, too young, like a bald teenager.
And I don't care about a MP mode. Hitman is a solo game by nature. What is the next step ? A bald female partner named "69" for a co-op mode ? ^^
