What's the DRM on it, have they said yet?

Likely Steam, as with every other Bethesda title in recent years, but it's also possible that they'll make it exclusive to their own digital distribution service that's in the works. (EDIT: Or have they launched it already?)

As for the trailer itself: now, I really couldn't care less about the game, because I'll never get to play it anyway, but this looks almost the same as the last major trailer they put out. Basically just a lot of jumping around and an annoying focus on those dumb finishing moves.
The monster designs look really damn good, though.

Thanks, that's one of the list then. The demo looked ok, not much different from d3 which was ok, so no loss.

Another case of "Fuck Europe" I guess.
Looks interesting. Waiting for reviews before buying.
Not sure about Doom 4... most of the previews I read (at least the ones I care about) about it were not exactly "blow away" by what they saw of the game. So I will definitely adopt a "wait an see" approach, maybe we will be lucky and it will be another good surprise like Wolfenstein was but I am not holding my breath.
So if we're lucky DooM4 will show up on GOG in, like 2032?
I've pretty much given up on AAA PC games these days as Steam is pretty much the default.

If you want a similar experience:
1) Buy Doom, Doom 2, & Final Doom
2) Install Brutal Doom Mod (+ whatever other mods you want/need)
3) Have fun.
Remember when Bethesda was on GOG, launched some games (mostly their older, less interesting ones), and then nothing happened for like 3 months?

I HARDLY call it less interesting, especially when Quake has a working soundtrack.

As for Doom 4, i can't wait to get it. Been following their progress via Game Informer's special articles
Doom 4 certainly looks like it will be fun. I might pick this one up.

You could probably say that for EA, Ubisoft, Lucasarts etc...
This means we'll probably get Doom3 on GOG.com until then ... :)
This is definitely not the Doom I wanted after Doom 3. Slow finishing moves that will either be pointless fluff or get old fast if important, the overbearing, generic industrial music combined with the slowdown effect when changing weapons, the out of place arcadey item drops, it all seems... off, and it gives me a headache to watch.

Doom 3's slower paced gameplay, genuinely scary atmosphere and inspired sound design was so much more appealing to me than this. This is what I would have expected out of say, Quake 5 instead.

But why should I complain... it's not like it won't be laden with DRM anyway.
