Phew, Brazil's not included in these BRIC Assassin's Creed trilogy. Yay! :P

snowkatt: well maybe this will tank Ac so hard it becomes damaged goods and ubisoft will finally rethink the franchise

....well hope springs eternal
Yeah, but as long as people keep buying it every year despite questionable additions like forced multiplayer in the single player campaign and microtransactions making it a chore to get items using in-game currency then it doesn't really bode well for any improvements in the future.

sadly

maybe this industry needs another crash because all the fun is being sucked out of it with dlc crap
f2p
micro transactions
annual franchise that change almost imperceptibly
and the expectancy of publisher that you buy 120 worth in dlc to get a full game

and whats even worse people actually do that

DProject: Actually, to me this 2.5D series feels a lot more interesting than the regular 3D games that have pretty much been the same since the first one.

stg83: Early impressions aren't really positive though and essentially it is recommended to play Mark of the Ninja instead by the previewer.

MotN was actually the one game the trailer reminded me of, that's why I thought it looked interesting.
I just wish we could get a proper game about pirates based around Black Flag's mechanics, but without all the Assassins/Templars/Ancient Aliens/Animus nonsense.

Yes. That's what keeps bugging me too. The market is changing and the majority of the customers seem to be content to be ripped off again and again. The market segment that actually expects quality and would make fair treatment of customers worthwile (by voting with their wallet) is so small, that ripping off herds of customers is way more profitable. We are dying out, guys and gals, and so are decent publishers. Damn, now I feel old ... :-(

yeah its a sad state of affair these days
there are great games out there and its never been easier to buy them
but at the same time so many games are crap and you get fleeced almost every step of the way
