stg83: Yeah, but as long as people keep buying it every year despite questionable additions like forced multiplayer in the single player campaign and microtransactions making it a chore to get items using in-game currency then it doesn't really bode well for any improvements in the future.

Yes. That's what keeps bugging me too. The market is changing and the majority of the customers seem to be content to be ripped off again and again. The market segment that actually expects quality and would make fair treatment of customers worthwile (by voting with their wallet) is so small, that ripping off herds of customers is way more profitable. We are dying out, guys and gals, and so are decent publishers. Damn, now I feel old ... :-(
