Guess this means no Harvest Moon for gog either.
Ah, the old "Argumentum ad antiquitatem" fallacy...

Was this an arcade game by any chance? Reminds me alot of one I played as a kid.

SNES
Everyone interested in a GOG release should contact the devs and/or pub.

He/she is just asking a question as far as I can tell.

Natsume's HM games are fake anyway. They used to be the localisation company for the original ones, but they own the localised name, so when the real games started being released as Story of Seasons, Natsume decided to make their own games under the HM name to trick unsuspecting customers.
Like how Square made up Secret of Evermore instead of localizing the true SNES Mana sequel?
Oh look. Another developer who thinks we should bend over to Overlord Steam if we want to play their games. I don't know about you and whether you want to get their games, but it is better if you don't give them any cash.
Dear Natsume: I don't have a Steam account, now your move. :V

Edit: This is why Stardew Valley and Story of Season was able to eat Harvest Moon's lunch.

I was going to log into Steam and ask them this, buuuuuuuut...the Steam authenticator went into the way, so instead I'll say it here.

"Ask yourself a better question. Why shaft a customer's desires which you can translate into money for your own?"

EDIT: I finally caved in and asked them this question

Quoted from steam forum

"Context is super important in this case; in a small company like ours, one of our important resources is time and how to spend it, and it's super helpful to hear more from people. It's pretty easy to tell why someone wouldn't want to buy a game on Steam if they tweet me and say "I don't use Steam, I'd like to buy it elsewhere" and a little less so when someone who was literally playing games on Steam the day before makes the same request ;)
When I have a strong understanding of why we'd want to list elsewhere, not only can I explain it to the rest of the team, but it also gets properly translated back to Natsume-Atari in Japan."

So, maybe there is a chance?
Maybe. I hope they see the merit behind a GOG (doesn't have to be GOG, as long as it is DRM-free) version at the end of the day.
So what? GOG now requires a client too in many cases. Might as well use Steam.

(Yes, I know there are still differences between the two, I'm just peeved.)

So what's in it for them to make a DRM-free version?
