I certainly understand your dismay at the downright vicious behaviour of what I assume is a single individual and at the impunity with which GOG allows him (and potentially others) to carry this and similar activities (for it is by no means the first time, although this one is probably a new low).

I'm very sorry to see this (or actually any) giveaway to come to end this way. However, I have to agree with PHC's decision.

I'm very, very saddend by this. Giveaways like this, the Murder at GOG manor etc. are part of what I love about this forum, not just because it's a chance to get a free game, but it's fun to participate in them. Radical steps need to be taken, and PR bulshit cannot be accepted any more as a placeholder answer to months of legitimate complaints.

Wow, so sorry to see this happen, phc. This is awful. I just woke up with a bit of excitement to come and see how the thread had progressed (figuring the asshole would have laid off by now.) I wonder if it is someone hired by steam to try and bring down the GOG community or just someone who has a complete lack of self-confidence and mommy issues or what. GOG obviously needs to do something, I didn't think it should be so easy to create multiple accounts, for many reasons. They should definitely be able to do something about and even more so about impersonators like the one pretending to be Phc. Everyone send GOG support messages demanding they use a better registration method and do something about this sort of behavior.

I won Hitman 2! Wow! Thanks so much! I had 1 and 3 but not 2! Apparently, even though I guessed it after someone else had, that someone else was an alt. profile of the harASSer. Sooo, I really lucked out! Such a bitter sweetness, though. Who wants to vent some anger? I'd love to piss in this person's face. And I want to throw cheese on their roof (in the heat of the summer, so it just melts into the roof and is impossible to clean and just rots and stinks and is really gross!)

I'm also kinda sad that this giveaway ended prematurely, but I know that if I were you and did a generous ga only to get a harassment PM by someone impersonating me and many other crap posts by other alts, I might have done the same too. Not to mention that this giveaway started being doomed after this harasser started downrepping people massively, as evidenced by this conserved post and especially its attachment. Oh well...

However, the key contains three games and one of the other two had been guessed by someone else (obviously not a scammer) very early on, a long time before my guess. Perhaps he should get the entire key, unless of course the other two games were not part of this giveaway. I will refrain from redeeming the game until I hear from you.

You are right: This place is turning to shit rapidly. We all try to keep going and to keep positive be let's face it: It's turning into a very very unpleasant place sometimes. You still can get Lucky and not get any assholes in your threads but this is getting rarer and rarer and in giveaway thread practicly impossible.

I hate to say it but I blame gog: They wanted to grow. Great, no problem but with growth comes change wether you want it or not. And gog wanted to grow but not to change. The result: Security issues, a lot of scammers and assholes and still gog refuses to change. I hate to say it but we need mods and people who can check and delete multiple scam accounts on the same IP. We could get around this when we were a small family but now that we have grown into a nation we need moderation...

Unfortunately, see the attached picture for how my friends page looks like since MAY 22 (that's almost two and a half months). I, of course, opened multiple tickets about it, but GOG did absolutely nothing to solve it. So I cannot accept friend requests.

Different browsers, different computers and phones, even galaxy. It's a GOG bug and they know about it (and I know of one more who has it). I even told them what the cause may be, but they don't really care, do they?
