fortune_p_dawg: is she saying "you're a dorky, childish fool" with this gesture, or is she saying "spend the day holed up in your man cave playing with legos and getting baked, you know you want to."
Weird, I'd have interpreted that as "I appreciate you sharing your memories with me and it was cute observing that sparkle in your eyes when you remembered, and I wanted to suprise you with giving you something I know you cared about, to show you that I listened and that I love seeing you happy". But you know your wife better than I do, so yeah, it probably means "go off to your man cave and play with legos all day, you dorky fool". :D
that is so strange... one of the first large lego sets i ever owned was eldorado fortress. my dad got it for me christmas of 1990, right after my folks divorced. one of my favorite sets, wish i'd have hung onto it. and the second one is the exact same one she got me today, soldiers fort. she also gave me a smaller set, shipwreck defense.

:-)
Think I might go play a little Lego Indy Jones. I feel inspired.
Although I don't buy it myself, I'd still build Lego stuff.
Even if was bought as a slight, it's still fun.
I recently came across an article about a knockoff Lego, called something like bip bop or bean dip or something.
I've always wanted the Millenium Falcon.. but it was so expensive.

hehe the smaller Pirate sets (including mentioned shipwreck defence) are on my son's 'buy it, dad' list ;-) but THE SHIP occupies top position ;-/

Well, it isn't Lego, but more important, where did you get that? Love the game and that thing is cool! :D

It is Lego. I built it for the Draw and Guess the Game thread in December.

If you ever want to duplicate it, I can take more revealing photos.
Do it! I would totaly play with the Legos.
Your wife is awesome. :)

My wife just gave me LEGO Jurassic World for father's day. Apparently LEGO products are the new standard dad gift.

Have fun!!!!!!!
I read the title as "My wife bought me Pirate legs for fathers day...."

I had a mental image of Sheamus from Family Guy in my head.
