GameRager: Tbh I don't think this is worse than the 1920 crash(yet).
Back then 70%+ of the country was self sufficient. Today it's closer to 8%. If the food stops coming in, it will be far worse. If food keeps moving, the rest can likely be mitigated.

GameRager: Agreed which is why I think we need to maybe keep it up at most another month......then isolate the most vulnerable from everyone else.

Heck, if we can isolate the entire country(and other countries) at home then we should be able to isolate the elderly/vulnerable.
Don't think that will matter much.

There was this odd cold/flu going around where I'm at, happened in October/November, and wouldn't go away for like 2 months, especially hit all the children and all the teachers.

I think we already had it for several months. Thus i think no amount of quarantine will matter.

Thank you all for the replies. I didn't had the time to reply all of them but I've seen them all.

I'm not going to lie. I'm very scared . Today I had to go to the supermarket because most deliveries were full... and my god people here just don't believe in the danger of this virus. I saw only a few people using masks and protecting themselves. I pray that I can stay safe... I'm not leaving my house anymore.

I live in one of Brazil's poorest states. If the virus hits hard here, there will be no hospitals or any way to fight back.. But I will try to keep my mind as healthy as posible, and maybe one day I'll live to see the end of this crisis.

To be fair, the masks are more to keep from spreading it if you're sick than anything else. They obviously don't protect the eyes and ears. Remember, this is spread by respiratory droplets, so unless you're touching your face without washing your hands or letting people cough/sneeze on you, you should be OK. Just keep your head down, pretty much.

Hopefully things don't go out of control over there like they are in New York and New Jersey. Either way, just stay safe and sane.
