Damnit when was the last AAA video game publishing company appearing on gog.com. Something like 3 months ago, was it Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment I think it was?

I'm getting burned out by waiting for more to join gog.com and pissed off seeing so many AAA video games get released for sale on Steam and not gog.com.

It's been what 8 months? Or a year since Electronic Arts (EA) released a video game for sale on gog.com? Sim City 4 was it?

I want to purchase Battlefield 1942 with all of it's expansion packs, Battlefield 2 with all of it's expansion packs, Battlefield 2142 with all of it's expansion packs, and Battlefield Vietnam + Battlefield Vietnam Redux right NOW from gog.com. Especially since GoG Galaxy exists now.

Also gog.com opened up a new marketing office in Los Angeles, California this year.

Please gog.com employees go talk and strike more deals damnit.

I DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE VIDEO GAMES FROM STEAM.

Brought to you by my daily dose of complaints. Ignore this if you don't give a damn.
I think Gog use the very slow and very steady format.

Well how slow gog.com is. It is extremely slow and I just cannot take it anymore.

I know some people will call me insane now for this comment. it's just the damn AAA video game industry needs to see 100% Digital Rights Management (DRM) free video games do sell and that they are passing past a lot of money.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt selling on gog.com is proof of this.

Steam sold 580,000 copies I think, but I'm willing to bet the gog.com version sold at least 700,000 copies.

The Witcher 3 will be the best proof GOG and CDPR can use to convince publishers to debut AAA games here, but GOG are still missing some major U.S. and Japanese publishers. All these things take time because there are so very many things that need to happen behind the scenes to get those releases here and because these are huge companies which means decisions take longer to process. I would say developments at GOG picked up significantly this year, and even last year we saw awesome releases like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Terraria, and Mount & Blade. So, either sit on your money (or buy more stuff to play), gently prod those companies every now and then, and play something from your backlog to pass the time. :)
Soon™.
Your man is/are the publishers, really. In reality, they are your/our ENEMIES, because they just so happen to think that DRM-FREE is theirs (enemy).

Most probably, after Galaxy is fully released and utilized, more grand and new games will start coming here. Let's hope this simpletons with their simple mind be baited and tricked into releasing their stuff here (tricked from client, mistaking Galaxy for another client hound, drm-ridden).

Honestly, copyright holders nowadays are nothing more than little bitches and drm lovers. Thinking that pc gaming begins and ends in steam.

Damn your daily posts. GOG has a system where every time someone asks for a feature, it is pushed back another week. So while we were scheduled to get a publisher by the end of the month, now it has been pushed back even further.

And let me remind you, in the last 12 months we've gotten 3 major publishers (Disney, Paradox, Warner Bros). Yet still people complain. I wondered if even Bethesda or Take 2 would be enough to stop the complaints...

I want to purchase Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, and Battlefield 2142 very badly from gog.com.

The physical boxed version of Battlefield 1942 that I have is in storage and I'm not going to go through thousands of boxes to find it. The physical boxed version of Battlefield 2 that I have the Battlefield 2 discs are very scratched and the disc has a chip in it so I can never install Battlefield 2 ever again.

I'm not going to make a Electronic Arts (EA) Origin account to purchase those video gamers from there and I cannot play Battlefield 2 on my Steam account due to GameSpy and online profiles being dead for Battlefield 2.

I don't even want to pirate video games damnit don't want that crap on my PC.

So I am just going to complain here on gog.com, while i am keeping my money in my wallet until this damn AAA video game industry sees gog.com exists and actually earns profits from selling video games.

Complaining to GOG will not help. GOG is aware that people want these games, but EA must also agree to publish their games here. So contact EA.

I'm not complaining to gog.com. I'm complaining on gog.com.

I know for sure that there are some AAA video game developers who are on the gog.com forums. I'm pretty sure there are some CEO's and COO's from AAA video game publishing companies who also read the gog.com forums.

Feel free. Do you also complain on the streets about the state of the economy, because economists are listening, or do you try to contact the relevant people directly?

I call bull. Who are the AAA video game developers who are on these forums? And I am asking for AAA, not AA or indy ones.
avatar
JMich: I wondered if even Bethesda or Take 2 would be enough to stop the complaints...
Nope. There would be demands for Blizzard and Microsoft, next. There would also be complaints about the kinds of games we would get:

"Bethesda doesn't only have Fallout/Elder Scrolls! Has GOG forgotten the rest of Bethesda's catalog?"

I contacted many AAA video game industry people on twitter and they blocked me. I asked them once a week like on Monday's. Then I contacted them once a month and they replied if you want the game it's available on Steam. So I gave up.

If I have permission hey AAA video game developer guy can I say who you are since you are on the gog.com forums if you are awake? Or if you are reading my topic just respond.
