Hey GOG, I make this post...well, to do a bit of advertising :P
As you know, finding a job here in Italy at the moment is hard. Very hard.
After a while I decided to do something different (and in the meanwhile, of course, I'm looking for a job).

So I wrote a book, a long novel, and I used Amazon to distribute it. The book is totally DRM-free, and it costs like two coffee.

For me it's a little dream becoming true and well, my real dream is to become a TRUE writer, but let'st proceed one step each time.

This is the link of the book

http://www.amazon.it/avventure-di-Mister-Twinsee-ebook/dp/B00LSYBI30/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405402311&sr=8-1&keywords=le+avventure+di+mister+twinsee

I linked the italian Amazon site here, but you can search for it on your local Amazon and you will find it :)

The price is the same for all countries, naturally.

I hope this is the beginning of something good :)

Oh, I almost forgot: if you don't have a Kindle, you can read the book on your PC simply by using the software Amazon gives you for those situations.

The book is only in italian language, for now, but I hope to add more languages if the italian version does well.

EDIT: I've created a Facebook page to promote the book, here's the link:

congratulations on finishing your novel and getting it out there! I hope it is the beginning of good things for you too <(")
Congratulations on your book and good luck, because you'll really need it! I'd love to read it as it seems like it'd interest me, but I don't know Italian... :x

Now this is an accomplishment! Way to go!
May I ask what is the book about?

I'm really happy for you. It's a big accomplishment.

- Tim :)
I am jealous, I have been writing for years and have never completed anything. I keep changing stories so I have dozens of partially written stories, novels, and such in different degrees of abandonment. TO complete your story is indeed an accomplishment.
Congratulations on finishing your novel!

It's a story about a man that, one day discovers to have lost some cogwheels (I don't know if there is a english correspondance for this, but basically he went a bit crazy).

Then he starts a journey to recover its cogwheels, find some bizzare things, like a underground community composed by dead me.

It's not a horror story or so, let'say something...strange?

Described as I did it may sounds bad, but I'm not too strong with english, and I think the story is, at least, interesting.
Congrats man! Hopefully it does really, we'll have an English version from you soon! Good luck and thumbs up for this!

Congratulations! As a lazy aspiring author myself you have my deepest respect and admiration for getting your story out there. And the description that I read from the translated Amazon page seems like a great plot for an adventure game; perhaps in your future is the chance to team up with an indie game developer ? ;)

"Cogwheels"...in English we sometimes say "They've lost their marbles!" which means basically the same thing, hope that helps.

+1 to you and perhaps if I ever make the jump to an ereader I'll DL this amazong. I'll download this from Amazon. That's the official signal it's time for me to sleep.

Congratulations! I wish you a lot of success!

You could try to get in contact with the Groupees guys to see if you can get in the next Community Bundle (or a related bundle), I'm sure you could get a nice bit of publicity (and maybe some money) if you were to get in the next bundle.

Maybe, but I must wait three months because for now the book is exclusive of Amazon :)

Ah okay, well then it's time to send your book off to some bloggers/reviewers and fill your virtual dust-jacket (or your bio page haha) with their reviews!

Once again, congratulations! It takes a lot of time and dedication (and patience) to finish anything artistic, and to write a full novel must have been quite a challenge, though rewarding in the end I'm sure.

And of course, the scene where Toodles loses his marbles in the film Hook immediately comes to mind.
