yes ms dos
retro city rampage is being ported to dos

the requirements are pretty damn steep though
you need a 486
3,7 mb of hd space
and 4 mb of ram

as you can tell steep !
486's arent cheap and i have a 486 but mine is an SX ...wonder fi it will work
i got a 250 mb hd if i toss a few things i may have enough space
i got 8 mb of ram though im good

no release date given but if you already own the game on windows or macintosh the ms dos port is free

( edit the fucking fourm ate my previous version of this thread)
I guess he's still a nerd at heart, although I would've preferred it if he spent some time working on a sequel.
sweet ! old school vibe in the air
Now the devs can FINALLY release a linux version, huh?

Well, you could try running the game in DOSBox, right?

(Especially nice if you want to run the game on something more exotic like a Raspberry Pi)

(You could also try dosemu if you have the appropriate hardware.)

For sure I can, I was just kiddin' :)
This game seemed so appropriate for a linux release, since it's retro and very enjoyable. But sadly didn't see the light of day on this platform.

Is that a 486 SX or 486 DX, its important as I had real difficulty running Doom and some others as the maths coprocessor wasnt there on the SX model. My 100mb hdd is full with Win3.1 and Command and conquer.

When did you post the previous version of this by the way, 1980?
Nothing but a complete waste of time. But I do approve. It's better then making a port for something as useless as XP. :D
MS-DOS? Why not C-64? Or Schneider (Amstrad) CPC 464?

I already know that, the Steam community at the time of the games release were crying for an xp release for everything including this one. The joke is more something that sticks in my mind.
Awesome, I'll have to install this on one of my old machines. I don't remember the exact specs of my 486 though.
And who plays this port?
