So it came to pass that I fell in love with a friend of mine. Fast forward some time, and just a bit under two weeks ago, I married her.

So, dear GOG, go ahead. Congratulate. Ask. Comment. Share your wisdom, or somebody else's if yours is nonexistent or secret. Link silly videos or songs. It's open mic over here.

Oh, and there's a giveaway too: a lucky one of you has received a GOG code for Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition. Cheers!

GIVEAWAY CLOSED.

Marriage tip: Never go to sleep while having an argument, stay up all night and finish it properly :)

oh happy newwwwwwws !!! Congratulations ! wish U all the best.

a good advice a friend gave me one day: if there is something u don't like or agree (can be bad habits..) fix it or discuss about it the sooner the better. .... over time it will be harder to deal with it

Have fun :)

Congratulations for unlocking another real life achievement.

I am in to play as Dragon.

I wish I had a girlfriend (or for that matter girl friend).
Please give me some tips, so that I could unlock same.
Congrats!

This one I've heard before, from the wife's grandparents in fact. It has worked for them for 53 years and it has worked for us so far!

tort1234: You did something that billions of people before you have done and that's totally special and unique right
I didn't marry her because there is something special or unique about the act, but the person.

tort1234: I have a friend who is divorce lawyer. Most marriages fall apart in 2-4 years.
I suppose it's easy for divorce lawyers (and, I suspect, for children of divorced parents) to think that way, but the average marriage in Finland lasts for somewhere between 11 and 12 years - although I suppose it's possible for a marriage to fall apart in practice and still keep on existing as far as the law is concerned.

Congrats to AlKim! I'm not in, I have the game already (and I want you to give it to someone more needy anyway, like tort1234...)

Let me know if you need any free advice on divorce.
Most people die in 0-100 years.

Let me know if you need a good mortician.

Marrying a friend (as you did) is IMHO probably the best way to make a marriage last. It is no secret that the crazy heat of love will always dwindle down in time. Friendship lasts, and it is the glue that keeps old couples together.

Congrats!

I married a friend. This year I'll know him for 15 years, will be together with him for 10 years, and married for 4.
And I still remember our first talk.
I was sitting at university and reading a Terry Pratchett book, and he came over and talked to me.
He's my husband and still my friend.
My heart still starts pounding loudly when I see him. And the best place to sleep is at his side.

I wish you all the best! May your days be bright and your nights dark enough to see the stars.
Congrats!

Not in, but thanks.
Welcome to house arrest!:)

Now, in a more serious note: Congratulations! And my best wishes to you. Hope that you two will have a long and happy married life.

P.S.: not in, but thanks for generosity (especially for promoting a rather underrated game like Dragon Commander)
Not in, but congratulations for restoring the balance to the friendzone! :P
Congrats! I have little wisdom to share, because even after an 8 year relationship we're not yet married.. However it looks like next year we'll be. Honestly I don't think that a piece of paper will change anything in our lives, but we think it's time we shut up our parents :P.
Thanks and in if I may.
