They finally deemed us ready to oggle some actual in-game footage (from GamesCom). Here's video one, and there's video two.

So far it really just looks like a prettier Warband. The interface looks fairly similar. Let's hope they indeed fleshed out the AI capability some more. Not sure who would make much use of the replay system as combat animations still look as janky as ever, but whatever. Those teeth in character creation! Gyah! And that horrendously bad voice acting. Oh dear. I hope they won't spend too much time and effort on the latter if this is to show of what's to come.
That Go-like minigame? INSTABUY.
Looks cool. Looking forward to it.

Well thats the medieval times for ya. Not many people were suitible models to star in Crest ads.
I've been following the dev blog for a while and now seeing these vids, it looks absolutely great to me, a vast improvement in nearly every way...and I say that as a bug fan of Mount & Blade Warband!

As far as the animations and voice acting, I'm sure they'll be tightened up when they're closer to the end of the dev cycle. It's not unusual (in my experience) to see less than perfect animation in vids mid-development, I mean go check out the animations in Doom 3's reveals.

+1 Animations are usually placeholders until the game systems are fleshed out afaik.
I'm real happy to see that they're trying out new concepts for the sieges
I can't wait. Hope it comes to GOG.
Woah! Looks great so far. If it's as good as Warband then I think I've just found my excuse to get a new laptop.
Day one purchase for sure.

Pazaak is the only mini-game for me.
Looks really good, Linux version and they have an insta buy here :-)
Looks nice and I really hope they do something for the AI this time, I just took over Jelkala pratically by myself. >_>
Graphics and game play looks so good, makes me hate life because I highly doubt the game will run on my laptop.

Mine does okay with Warband, using a GT555M, but I can't imagine it'll work at all with the new game. Fortunately our laptop options are getting better and better all the time, and the prices are even halfway reasonable for something with a bit of oomph under its skin.
