150+ deals up to 85% off in the Most Wanted Games Sale

UPDATE: Still on the hunt? The Saints Row and Metro series just got added to our Most Wanted list for up to 75% off, so all you quality-seeking desperados know what to do!

Many out of ten gamers agree: a healthy wishlist is key to a happy lifestyle.
Case in point, we just launched a sale on over one hundred fifty of the most wishlisted games and DLC on GOG.COM.

That's not the only reason to have a wishlist – give a few pointers to your friends, family, and rich internet strangers; accidentally send it to all your contacts (oops); or if you're waiting for the sale, which you are, we'll let you know when it's time to spend some cash (it's now).

So what tops our community's wishlists?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and expansions hold the #1 spot – grab the complete Game of the Year Edition at 60% off, or continue the story with Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine both 50% off.
A close second – Planescape: Torment – the legendary RPG's Enhanced Edition is 67% off right now. Followed by the genre-defining Baldur's Gate II in third place – now at 75% off the Enhanced Edition.

The GOG.COM community has an excellent taste in games – the Most Wanted Sale also features Divinity: Original Sin 2 (-15%), Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (-35%), Darkest Dungeon (-60%), Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (-75%), SUPERHOT (-50%), Deus Ex (-85%) and over a hundred more up to 85% off!

Do right by your GOG.COM wishlist with the Most Wanted Games Sale, lasting until April 23, 10 PM UTC.

ciemnogrodzianin: Okay, friends, let's think rationally:

1. It's logical that discounts are quite low.

There is some discounting process, starting with low discount and reaching -90% after a few years from release. During that time period most of people interested in a game become its owners - and the game is no longer massively wishlisted. It's just obvious, when you think about it. Wishlisted titles are games that people want, but cannot afford at the moment. That usually means games more expensive than deeply discounted games for $1 - because such games quickly become owned and disappear from wishlists.

2. Do not expect miracles from giveaway.

GOG suggested that various titles will be given away to "thousands" of users. But, please, note that all massive giveaways are always made in cooperation between GOG and publishers. GOG never pays for that games. They provide platform and publisher agrees to give away a game for free - usually as a promotion of some other title, release etc.
If there is no particular game and publisher in game this time, I suppose that GOG just pays something for the codes and in consequence the whole initiative cannot be massive - it's impossible for GOG to buy a game from wishlist of each and every user and I think some people started to expect something like that...
It should be noted that GOG claims that the most wishlisted game is one they published themselves: The Witcher 3.

The giveaway is over, all keys have been already sent.

So if you have nothing in your mailbox, I'm afraid you are not the lucky one this time.
Lame. I'm calling shenanigans because not a single person has posted that they received a free game in this thread or the one I started about the giveaway a few days ago.

So what games and how many copies of each were given away ?

Breja: I don't think I ever won anything here on GOG. Still, I don't mind. I have a backlog, so I think it's even a good thing others got some stuff, instead of having it gather virtual dust on my "shelf" for three months.
That's the point.

I received nothing this time, but let's be honest - I still have in backlog games I've got here for free. And part of these games (Grim Fandango, Oxenfree) was even on my wishlist before. So - have fun to all the winners and thanks, GOG.

No Hollow Knight, huh?
Oh well, next time then.
Literally only one game on my wishlist has a discount, and it's the one I least want lol

Getcomposted: Well, the only discount that's tempting me is Planescape: Torment Enhanced edition.
Unless I've missed something, this is the deepest discount so far?

mk47at: Looks that way:

https://isthereanydeal.com/search/?q=torment+enhanced#/page:game/info?plain=planescapetormentenhancededition

Edit: When will they fix URLs? Using python's urllib.parse.quote() get's boring very fast.

Edit, again: Great, it still does not work…

Edit, again**2: If I quote the : Gog produces a clickable link, but it breaks isthereanydeal.com…
URL-encode the colon as %3A: https://isthereanydeal.com/search/?q=torment+enhanced#/page%3Agame/info?plain=planescapetormentenhancededition

So, it seems none of the titles I have money for in my paypal account are discounted.
Kinda surprised Tomb Raider is not in the first 150 wishlisted titles, unless not all of them have gone on sale yet.
That's one of the things I've tried. It does not work for me.

Edit: If it's not clear – it does not open the popup on isthereanydeal.com…

So no free game for me.
:(
I am not sad because I didn't get a free game. The backlog is large enough. But I thought active members will get something, and I thought I am an active member ( I guess I am). Just a little let down at this moment.

However, got something from my wishlist from a generous forum dweller, today. I am thankful for that.

They could have worded their posts/mails better though.

My birthday was yesterday. GOG didn't even send me the Ultima 1-3 as a gift? Geez. :((

Nothing for me, either. But that's okay. A freebie is a bonus, not something I expect, so no harm here. :)
I didn't get one either, but it's no biggie. I have enough games to play for now. My hype was from the thrill of receiving a surprise gift, not saving a few euros.

You lucky ones enjoy your new games, and for the rest of us let's hope for better fortune next time!
Nothing here either oh well back to backlog for me.

A good reason why some new, big games stay on the wishlists is that buying an expensive game is one thing (say €50) but buying a new computer in order to be able to play it is quite another kind of money (say €1200+).
