KiNgBrAdLeY7: Why? Even if on PC, it was one of the best games i have ever played there, and THEN! Also, that information is wrong. It had and still has, a N64 version/rom (and i think a PS1 as well, but i am not sure about this one).
I'm only going by the stuff I read (which may be people talking out of their asses) but the console MKs used real people and models and a lot of technical stuff I don't understand. :P #4 got rid of all of that, using polygons and making the arenas 3D so that you could move side to side as well as back and forth. Also it introduced weapons which even I have to admit was pretty stupid. Here you are facing Sub Zero and all of a sudden he pulls this huge fucking ax out of his pants. :P HUH!?
The game's graphics are a crime. Still developing games for Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2015, then porting them to PC, is crime. Skip MKX, wait for the next MK that will hopefully be made for at least semi-modern hardware. MKX is ancient-ware without any vintage design charm.

LoL? I liked weapons! And all fans ultimately did. If i am not mistaken, they are still in play!
people still care about this franchise, it thought it ended with mk3, now a new mortal kombat movie would be interesting.

Actually i take that back

Well, someone has to pay for the Russian discount... you know, just to keep things balanced. :)

MK4 was an arcade game on a hardware called Zeus. There were PS1, PC and N64 versions and the PS1 and PC versions were basically the same, with inferior graphics and CG cutscenes replacing a lot of in engine cutscenes from the arcade.

Anyway, it is a damned shame too. MK is one of those games I like so much that I am willing to pre-order...

Too bad, I guess I'll have to wait until the Complete Edition is out and maybe cheaper, a year or two from now.
I don't get it - How can you tell MKX will even be good enough to purchase at the initial run, not to mention pre-order?
People should only Pre-order games (and developers) they trust, and to make sure they can play the game before those who didn't pre-order - just like watching a screener copy of a soon to be released movie - you get some less polished content but you get it first.
Of course that will mean you might lose some of the fun (or most of it in cases like the Wolverine screener without Special effects and editing), and of course that could also mean you'll be getting a bloody bug ridden mess instead of a game - but that's what you should expect if you pre-order anything you couldn't be certain to like from the get go - and that's why you should never pre-order at all*!

* Unless it's like The Witcher 3 - pretty much the closest you could ever get to a sure thing. As I browse through the posts MK is hardly like that.

edit: typos.

I got MK9 when it got its PC release, and it worked properly enough for me. In all honesty I'm a Single Player Only kind of player so I probably missed most online multiplayer problems.

Generally speaking, I'm quite tolerant of launch day bugs, but I'm not one to pre-order often and usually wait to buy games later during proper sales. Hell, I'm guaranteed to not play RPG games on launch day and I did pre-order The Witcher 3 and, technically, a small number of Kickstater RPGs.

Fighting games, though, I always play at least a little bit when I get them and I do want to play MKX as soon as possible, so I'm willing to take a risk here.

Anyway, if I do get it as a pre-order it will be rather later than sooner and only after I see them fix the price tag (as I posted later, the proper price to the standard version of the game is R$99,90, a common and tolerable price).

So, providing a direct answer to your question: I can't tell if it will be good enough, but past experience in this case tell me I can take the risk, though I'm pretty prepared to face launch day problems if they happen.

But that's me, I would not dare tell anyone else to follow my lead.
Paid 5$ for the last MK and got MK Collection in a bundle...Yeah, definitely not paying that price.

It's the first attempt of CDP: Red at a proper open-world game. Those are damn difficult to get right. I'd say it's far from being a sure thing.
Speaking of MK X, here's another wonderful edition of Clueless Gamer. Enjoy. ;)

darthspudius: People are stupid enough to pay the high prices. It shouldn't be a surprise that they go up.

Tauto: Maybe some people can afford it,so that makes them stupid? Or are you the real dead broke idiot that is jealous?
Yes it makes them stupid cunts. Money or not, you should use a little logic and common sense. Not like a twat like you would know what that is.
