Another thread reminded me of these contests, I know we have the non-contest thread, but I thought it would be nice to revive this :-)

The "Game Photography Contest", Winter Edition

Thanks to muratogut, RadonGOG, benderz, Ragnarblackmane, Laulajatar, genkicolleen and Vythonaut for the previous contests!

This contest's theme is: Snow. Since there will be probably no snow for Christmas, let's have at least some nice screenshots with snow :D
(I know we had that topic once, but since it is long way back, I think it does not hurt to have it again)

The rules from the original Game Photography contest by muratogut apply:

Contest: Take a photo from a game, and put it here. [...]

Rules (important):
1- These pictures must look like a real photograph and without the game interface, chat panel or any similar panel.
2- This is not a screenshot contest, so "hey look at my high score" or "phear mai l33t skillz" type of screenshots will not be counted as a photograph.
3- You can use minimal photo editing, like contrast, sharpness, hue, brightness adjustment, but please no photo montages.
4- Suitable photography forms and techniques will be accepted, aerial, architectural, cloudscape, landscape, street, wildlife photography etc... Treat the contest as an art contest, so you don't have to do things like photojournalism, documentary photography.
5- Don't cheat. If you put a picture that doesn't belong to you and this is detected, your picture will be out of contest. Take new pictures for this contest.

* A $5.99 game from gog

Entries will be closed on 15th of January 2016.

but since there's no snow yet on my region then I'll use a previous photo, hope that's allright.

Since this giveaway is about game photography (aka screenshots), it does not really matter if your region has snow ;-)

Here's my Snow screenshot from The Sims 3, but I'm not sure if it counts or not as it doesn't really look like a real photograph. In any case, hope you guys enjoy it and thanks moonshineshadow for hosting this fun contest :)

It counts, the real photograph part is mostly meaning, that there should be no interface etc :-)

mmm, I'll wait a few days to see if there will be a special "snow period" event like last year on GTA Online. If yes, than I'll surely do a lot of screenshots even for my personal collection :o)

I was actually wondering what happened to these. Though as in previous ones, I'm not in, but I'll take any opportunity to post screenshots and I still very much like the idea of this giveaway/contest.

I'm in:

here's one of my old-time favorites: it's my character Metharesh ZaQuenn (celtic warden) from Dark Age of Camelot running around Midgard somewhere (probably just Odin's Gate, as I used to solo hunt around there more than anything), it's nothing fancy, as I lost dozens of SSs from that game somehow many years ago that were better, but it's what I have, and I like it!

I'm in - It took a few tries before Minecraft granted me a snow level, and I ended up playing instead of taking photos. Which I really didn't have time for: I have a deadline on some design, and there's christmas too. But I did take this photo which I kinda like:
