pimpmonkey2382.313: That doesn't explain how you buy games by "mistake" if you've actually looked at your cart before you hit buy.

sidas1997: Oh i forgot to write that ^^
Well its simple.. i didnt like that i should download it from the page... i wanted something in common with steam, but it wasnt like that.. So i tought - im just going back to old good steam :P
And by the way, why are you such an as*hole? Like you care? I came here for help.. And instead of insulting me, you could just help me :P
So,your last request is now your first.Don't send any more requests and I'm sure you will hear from them soon.

Last request i send was Friday.. i kind a lost hope :D
avatar
ZFR: That might explain it. Every time you send new email it gets bumped to the end of the queue. Stupid system but that's how it works. (EDIT: ninjad)

sidas1997: Yeah it could be... but still i waited long enough.. what i think that they dont really care. I had a problem with bundle on indiegala, they replied me in 2 days and fixed my problem... Here is different.
Here is different because you don't think of the huge influx of traffic due to witcher 3 and this summer sale....

No it was a legit question, and with your answer. You didn't buy them by "mistake" you fully intended to, but you thought gog was steam-lite and had buyers remorse.
Well,I thought I remained calm:-)

You do know that uptil the beginning of this month, refunds were almost impossible to get on good ol' Steam no matter how much you pleaded to their non existent support, right?

Even before the official 30 days conditional refund policy on GOG, they gave refunds to customers without any issues especially for games that weren't downloaded. Despite the 30 day time limit, even if you go past that GOG support is compassionate and understanding towards their customer's issues to provide a refund afterwards as well.

They are painfully slow sometimes due to the support not being automated and this being a busy time due to sales, but for the most part the GOG support team is quite efficient and I am sure they will get back to you on the refund request.

Cantankerous, facetious or pedantic would have been a good words for it.

He never said he bought them "by mistake", he said the games were a mistake. He bought and found out that he prefers the steam client, so buying them here was a mistake. For him at least.

I don't know what you mean by "legit" in this context. Being legit, whatever that means, doesn't mean it wasn't irritating as well. I personally would find "Did you even look at your cart before you hit buy?" irritating too because in absolutely no way it helps him solve his problem.
That aside, GOG offers refunds on games not downloaded, even if you spent hours looking at them in your cart. I'd be pissed to if no refund is given in two weeks. Sale, Witcher 3 or Galaxy, and a poor ticket system is no excuse for such support. If money back guarantee is one of your selling points, then make sure you actually make it easy for people to avail of it. Do something properly or not at all.

It's not like they WON'T get back to him ever, and are laughing behind their pc's because they haven't gotten to his ticket yet. And he's sent it to the back of the line probably 20 times by himself. That and kind of had a shitty attitude from his first post on, so I find it hard to feel sorry for him.
You could send a private message to one of the GOG staff here with your problem. They respond quite quickly in my experience. That should help.

And guys, regardless of the silly reason for a refund, let's keep it nice here, shall we?

I didn't care much for his attitude either, especially for "Guys, dont buy games here... its not like steam or other communities where you can get your money back... "

But, looking at it from the point of view of a person who is relatively new to a site I'd be pissed too at this stage. The "new e-amil sends to the back of the line" ticket system is a joke. Not only that, it doesn't actually inform the person that this happened, so unless you know about this mechanic, from your point of view it seems that they haven't replied in two weeks. It might seem different to people who know GOG, but to be honest if I got no reply from support in 2 weeks from a site I know litte about I'd have that attitude too. Especially since "Money back guarantee" is part of GOG's holy trinity together with No-DRM and N̶o̶ ̶R̶e̶g̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ ̶P̶r̶i̶c̶i̶n̶g̶ Fair Price Package.

Definitely could be better, not saying that and 2 weeks is too long but I can also understand why at this point in time. But when you blame the whole community, start advertising not to buy here, etc. Sounds almost like a steam troll.
