.Keys: Mirror's Edge does indeed have a internet / server implementation for a a Time Attack mode where you share your Speed Running times through levels with a server and friends through an online learderboard.
Edit: Looks like it was a mistake at EA's end.

.Keys: I own Mirror's Edge on Steam.

With all due respect, anyone saying Mirror's Edge (Original, the first one, not Catalyst) does not have any Multiplayer is unfortunately wrong.

Oh right, the time trial with leaderboard and ghost (replay), you are right. Totally forgot about that detail. It's not really multiplayer as we know it, but it is indeed an online feature that requires a server implementation (some games use steam servers for this, this game apparently doesn't).

About the steam version: If you have purchased the game (directly or as steam key), it will remain in your library. If you have access to it via the EA-subscription crap, then it will be gone after delisting.
Man, that's unfortunate and crazy. Why not just let GOG have the single-player stuff at least? I know AAA publishers hate bothering with GOG, but...

Well, the game is from 2009, so I assume whoever wanted the game has bought it already...and they can rest assured, because they can still access and play the SP parts.

The second thing I assume is, that a game from 2009 won't find too many new buyers now - especially since it isn't included in GOG's "Spring Sale (so far)...so, that it now gets removed from stores, shouldn't matter to those people either.

But go ahead...tell me how you held off buying for the last 14 years, and how angry you now are that you'll have to pay "full" price, if you don't want to lose out on the opportunity to play this amazing game, that you wanted for so long, and just never came around to purchase...

"You will own nothing, but will be happy"
Sad indeed. GOG might end up only with indie titles and small studios that do not bow to this "Connect Everything Everywhere" mentality if things continue down this path in this industry.

When the first DLC came to consoles and computers we were feeling that weird thing deep inside saying
'This can't be good.'.

We were right.

I already bought it once and played it, it's not about me, imagine missing the point this hard. Might as well shut GOG down as it's all just old games everyone already owns and has played. Why would anyone ever want to buy and play old games anyways amirite?
The store page makes no mention of multiplayer or leaderboards. Such features are routinely stripped when games are released here. If someone who owns Mirror's Edge on GOG knows for a fact those are included, you could open a support ticket to get the page corrected. Then again, if the game's about to be delisted, it may not be worth the bother.

Just shut up and hope EA misses it on here at least, doesn't matter enough to list that on the store page.

Good thing no new people have been born, grown up, and gotten into video gaming for the first time in the last decade and a half. And even if some had, they could've just jacked into the Videogame Hive-Mind like a normal person, and instantly gained knowledge of every game that was ever made, even from before they started to become aware of games. But that's all just a pointless hypothetical, because, like I said, everyone who's really into video games now was into them back then. So, like you implied, they have only their stupid, lazy selves to blame.

Well, you know - at some point, people who are keen on playing old games, need to make an investment.
You say you did it - I did it, too.

And for everybody else: consoles are a thing, you know? So is Ebay and other (online) used markets.

What you say? "But some people would rather have it on PC", you say?
Well, then these people should have made their investment in time (btw: it is still time for that).

That's a hell of a take to have on the preservation of good old games especially on here. Absolutely just buy some notoriously unreliable hardware and overpay for shipping not available for many in the first place for 720p25 controller experience, it's right for corporations to cripple already sold products and stop their distribution despite it costing them nothing and just making easy free money off them afterall

Sure, like Heroes of Might and Magic 3...everybody had 24 years if they wanted it, that's why nobody is buying it. The fact that it's always at the top of the best-selling list here is obviously just another GOG glitch.

...No, sorry, "it's old, everyone who wanted it should have bought it by now" is a ridiculously bad argument.

GOG does not preserve old games - they sell them. Those that they are allowed to sell, that is.

Subjective evidence, I know - but I never had trouble with any of my consoles.

It costs them the money they won't make off these game(s) in the future (which - at this point - probably wasn't much, anyway).
And yes - since it's their game(s) - they can take them off the market whenever they want.

All this whining for nothing.

GOG became a thing with that exact purpose.
Yes one of the most notorious console failures of all time is subjective, maybe you just went against your own advice and bought the last models instead of the early ones. Good you're not trying to buy one now because you can't get any of them anymore.
It doesn't cost anything to keep selling them, it does cost them money to not sell them and bother with delisting them however.
They walked it back bc they got called out on their bs, notice how it happens every time when there's less people like you and how it doesn't when there are more, crawl back in that hole of EA HQ please.
