Sometimes the visuals of the game are so well crafted that even looking at them makes you want to dive into the title’s story. No wonder we’ve decided to dedicate this Midweek Sale on GOG.COM to games with immersive art. Let’s take a look at a few of them:

Alan Wake (-70%) is a survival horror game presented in the style of a TV series. Help the best-selling author find his wife who has been abducted by a Dark Presence.

Life is Strange: Complete Season (-80%) is an award-winning episodic adventure game. Follow the story of Max Caulfield, a photography senior who discovers she can rewind time.

Transistor (-80%) is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city.

See more games with great visual styles. This Midweek Sale on GOG.COM will last until 10th October 2020, 1 PM UTC.

I very highly recommend GRIS, Ori and the Blind Forest and the Samorost games and if you ever wanted to try out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. then get Call of Pripyat and download the Anomaly mod for the true experience.

And where is Brigador? That game its also fitting the descriptor perfectly and shouldn't be missed. It's too bad Control isn't 5% off or something :P! Its also close to perfect game of this type as well.
Deus Ex HR and MD again ?

I haven't gotten around to playing Chuchel yet, but I do know that its low rating upon release here and elsewhere is largely due to social issues more than innate value (on release the protagonist's original colors were taken to mean he was African American and therefore Amanita Design was trying to be insulting; they changed the colors in response).

Now that there are no lingering accusations of racism, the Steam recent reviews have risen to 81% Very Positive, more in keeping with what you'd usually expect from a product from a company renowned for cute games with high artistic values.

The art doesn't strike me personally quite as much as their most famous earlier games like Machinarium and Botanicula and Samorost 2/3, but it's still one of a kind compared with the rest of the industry.

I guess Deus Ex 1 is part of the Anniversary Sale, but it seems odd not to include it here with the other DX games.

There are more games, which reviews are focuses on a single aspect or event, or even written by people who have not played the fame at all. It's said as it often affects other people's decisions. Personally I hate politics and political correctness invading my "escape zone" of gaming. Punishing Amanita, no matter what they did with that stupid flame raised then, is just unfair.

Chuchel is just a great adventure game with the highest possible rate of absurdity and humour. For me personally Machinarium was better and I'm also looking forward for Creaks, which seems to be also closer to my preferences ;)
