Trine and other gems from Frozenbyte

We managed to survive half of the week so far. To get through the rest of the week before another weekend full of gaming joy awaits, we prepared something magical:

Combining side-scrolling, action, platforming and puzzle-solving gameplay elements, the beloved series really has something in store for everyone. You control three different characters, each with their own unique abilities, and have to combine their strengths to overcome all challenges ahead of you.

Also, we have another no less magical highlight with Nine Parchments (-75%) in the lineup. The action-heavy, spell-weaving RPG offers some of the best co-op experience we came across recently.

Having played both Trine and Trine 2, I can say that they are pretty good games.
They are more fun when played co-op.

Agreed, one of the best game soundracks I ever heard. I could put "Throne of the lost king" from Trine 1 on loop and listen to it for HOURS.

Be wary of Trine 2 & 3 for Linux. On my system, both Linux version crash on startup and the Windows versions barely work on wine. Disclaimer: my system doesn't meet the system requirements for any game I won: I don't run Ubuntu and I don't run Windows. I also haven't tested with wine-4.0+ yet, as I'm still slogging through the rest of my retests. I also have not spent much of any effort debugging the Linux version, as I'm not interested enough in the games to pour that much effort into them.

Price of Trine 3 increased from $4.46 to $6.13 - right after I decided to buy! It is a fortune to me, because even original discounted price is too much... Thanks, GoG to guard my pocket! :-)

Edit: Now base price restored, so discounted price is $4.46 again... ...and the temptation was too high, I hope it will worth the money.
