As soon as I saw it, I knew an adventure was about to happen.

Hello, hump day challengers! Busy week? Forget about deadlines, targets, daily traffic, or too much cups of coffee that are supposed to keep you alive. It's time for a great adventure and our Midweek Sale with games up to -90%.

Speaking of cups! Play as Cuphead or Mugman in... Cuphead (-20%); traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets. Do it all to pay your debt back to the devil!

Explore vast, beautiful worlds, and meet an unforgettable cast of characters in Yooka-Laylee (-75%). Discover a story of Attu - an ordinary farmer fish-controlled medieval robot who was forced to embark on an unexpected adventure in Feudal Alloy (-33%). Now he has to not only face evil foes but also find his way back home.

If you still have Playdead games on your wishlist, it's the best moment to check out dark, disturbing Inside (-66%). Face your fears, and get drawn into the center of a mysterious project.

We all know that there are no adventures without Disney and LEGO! Forget about being an adult and check Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (-15%), LEGO Indiana Jones The Original Adventures (-75%) or LEGO Star Wars - The Complete Saga (-75%).

The Midweek Sale ends August 10th, 1 PM UTC.
So many games from my wishlist... so little money.
If Gog added a sale with all games without discounts except for a single freeware, they could still declare "up to -100%".
I hate that useless marketing term..

Same. I kinda love and hate GoG for this situation. Just my money isn't enough, lol
Wow, this sale is a paradise for anyone wanting to stock up on platformers / metroidvania.

Well yeah, me too, but all stores do that, and Gog has been doing that forever; it's not like this is the first time.

I guess the irritation has just been building up over time?

I like it better when stores are more descriptive and say "Discounts ranging from 1% to 90%!" -- but I suppose that doesn't attract as many buyers. :S

I've always liked the "Up to 50% off and more!" sales.

Eh lol, I was kinda in a bad mood.
I saw the Nth "up to" fake slogan and I had to post something about it.

If Gog really needs to add a % in the title, I'd frankly prefer the range you mentioned or a "more than" alternative.
Less clickbaity, but more trustworthy.

Why list "LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean" if you're not going to discount it?

I'm safe. I only own one (okay, license) of the games on the list and none of them are on my wishlist. :<thumbs-up>

Well, technically if the freeware game is always free, then it's not a discount so they couldn't do that.

But I get what you mean and I share the sentiment. Unfortunately we live in the age of meaningless PR/marketing speak.

Yeah, and it's also sad that it seems effective towards many people.

If we're jokingly nitpicking tho:
0$ - (0*100%) = 0$
Discount still applied :P

Much appreciated!
More games I theoretically like but would probably never play. Hooray!

For real.

Anyway, I'll recommend Limbo though most everyone probably owns it by now. Hope more older indie games show up like Edmund Mcmillen games, Cave Story+, etc.
