Am I the only one around here that will give a kidney to see these games in here?

Magic: The Gathering (1997)
Magic: The Gathering - Spells of the Ancients (1997)
Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers (1998)

Totally legendary titles. And I know, I know... slightlymagic and such but no, I want to have them here at GOG =)

You are not alone, there are many votes for example for the first one on the wishlist:

No, I'd give one of your kidneys to see those.
Shandalar beats the s... out having girlfriend... I'm gonna tell you that much.
Voted. Almost forgot about these titles, but I'd love to get these classics here.
I still have those. Any way to make them work on Win 7?
I'd love those too. Especially the adventuring one.

From what I gather they run flawlessly on Windows 7 64bit. I should get physical copies of those games again because they will probably remain in legal limbo.
Have the boxed copy on my shelf.

Have money in my wallet to buy a working copy for modern systems
I last saw my original CD copy of this game a few years ago, too bad I've got no clue about its whereabout nowadays :(
Man, this game... Instabuy if it ever comes here.

I'd pay full price too, for a sequel with recent cards and stuff... But instead of that, we have Planeswalker 20xx bullsh** :(

No, they don't work on Win 7 64 bit. I tried myself a couple weeks ago with my copies of the game.

This is a weird title since it runs only in Windows 95 or 98, and compatibility mode and DOSbox don't work. Supposedly there's a way to get them running but I haven't figured out how.

And running it in an emulator (like DOSBox or Virtual Machine) takes a lot of tweaking because running around on the Shandalar Map is very very fast.

I seem to recall a fan-made version that works in Win 7 (don't know about 8.x) but it was somewhat buggy last time I tried it - probably a couple of years ago so it may be better now. A search will probably locate the site.

BTW, I agree that the current iteration (planeswalkers) isn't the same...
Sadly it doesn't run all too well on modern systems. It would really be great to have a fixed version here on GOG.
