Now THIS is actually awesome.

The Redux versions, especially for the first game, made a ton of gameplay changes and not always for the better (far from it actually).

So very good job GOG. Off to purchase this right away. More of this in the future. What's next? Actual Worms 3D maybe? :P

NOTE - The franchise bundle contains the Redux versions. So despite the VERY appealing price at the moment, if you want the originals, you have to get them separately.

Correct, they are separate entries. Had Last Light Redux before this and just bought the original Last Light.

If you own the redux version those versions are not in your library, you have to buy them again.
I was confused when I clicked on them and wondered why they are not marked as owned.
That's because it's not the redux versions that got in the preservation program, but the original versions.
A little bit confusing, but I take it. As the post above said, seeing this for other games like Deus Ex Human revolution would be great.

I actually prefer the originals *by a lot* since the redux versions made a lot of changes to the lightning and visuals, which I tend to dislike, plus the Stalker-feel of the first Metro as lost in the transition to the redux version

Crossing my fingers this is an indirect sign that Deep Silver are willing to play ball with GOG for a release of 2039 near launch similar to KCD:2. Regardless, I'm more than happy to grab og 2033 again.

I love this idea of bringing back the OG versions from the dead and making them DRM-free.

More options for the player are always a good idea. Plus, GOG and publishers want our money, right? More versions out there, more to possibly buy. Win-win for dev's, publishers, and gamers altogether.

Also, this let the players buy and decide which version they want or if they just want them all. Heck, for change of pace - maybe one go around, do the OG versions - another one, do the Redux (newer version). Can always rotate them, too.

A game that I'd really love to see this happen for is Deus Ex: Human Revolution Complete Edition (with base-game and all DLC's), since I really would like to basically play the Missing Link DLC on its own like we used to be able to do in the old-version and to basically get it away from Steam.

More of this please or trying to sell me ALL of the versions of Old and Remaster, GOG!

I wonder if it's realistically possible for GoG to insert Missing Link inside original Human Revolution main storyline as it supposed to be if devs/publishers weren't so greedy.
