Shred The State: Libertarian Metalheads

Stumbled across this tonight. Fantastic combo of two great things. Have been browsing their image collection for over an hour while listening to metal on YouTube. Awesome stuff. :)

Attached one of my favorites.
Attachments:
Some instrumental metal you guys maybe do not know already:
Blotted Science
(most of you should know the bass player though)
Animals as Leaders

Any some of my favourite Metal bands:
Pain of Salvation (well, not always making metal, atm more 70s rock, but I like mostly everything from Daniel Gildenlöw)
Indukti
Flametal (flamenco metal, mostly metal and flamenco mix, here metal classics playd as flamenco)
Diablo Swing Orchestra (boogie metal, charleston metal, tango metal, awesome)
Ayreon (epic story telling with many different metal stars from all over the world)
Sentenced (R.I.P. Miika Tenkula)
Flowing Tears (deep woman's voice back then, yeah)
Falconer (Bariton voice, yeah... sadly this is the only good album from them I know)
Epica (themes like the illusion of freedom of speech in the western world etc... and symphonic metal, win win)
Katatonia (my favourite doom metal)
Black Sabbath ('nuff said)

Everything Must Be Metal! Episode 4 - ROAR! (Katy Perry)

Pleasantly surprised by how well the song metalizes...

Try this:
Culture Club-Karma Chameleon (Death Metal Version)
Haha, not bad. Bit too growly for the song tho.

Btw, thanks for introducing me to the Andy Rehfeldt channel. Lots of fun stuff. Loving these two:

Carly Rae Jepsen-Call Me Maybe(Metal Version)
Maroon 5-Moves Like Jagger(Metal Version)

Metal pop needs to become a thing. ;)

R.I.P. Dimebag
Just bumped into:

Edge of Attack - Forever

while browsing metal on YouTube. Loving it, ordered the album.

Seem to be a little known band from Canada. Great sound. Power/thrash metal. I'd guess lack of exposure is hurting them. I wonder if they could hook up with the North American branch of Nuclear Blast or someone else with the ability to help them reach potential fans. Here's hoping they tour the States soon (or come again if they've already been here).

Also: Gotta love the singer (Roxanne Gordey if not mistaken) rocking those anarchy pants. :D

Thanks for that. I really have to check out more music from them. Although I'd rather she not be rocking the Anarchy pants if you know what I mean. I'm a sucker for redheads, fake or real doesn't matter. Finally some thrash with a female vocalist that sings instead of the death metal growling.

Their website for more music.

Glad to spread the word. And if you think she's hot now... read this bit from a Sonic Cathedral interview with the band:

Robin: Roxanne, you’ve described yourself as a combination of metal and geek. What is your favorite way to geek?

Roxanne: Well, there’s a lot of different ways. I’ve always been into PC and console gaming, and I play Magic: The Gathering. (It’s a popular trading card game.) I’ve played Dungeons & Dragons too, so I guess I geek pretty hard! (laughs) I geek pretty much as hard as it is possible to geek, if you want to put it that way.

Damn if only I was 10 years younger. Maybe she has daddy issues.
Removed because I decided it was too stupid for me to associate myself with

There's a lot of excellent modern metal, but it's good to remember your roots.

Presenting Amebix...purveyors of crustilcious doomirific heavy metal. One of the first crustpunk bands to exist.

Arise-full album
