[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

BlackThorny: Did you try if such method may work for other titles unavailable for Germans and such?
Upon testing and discovering this basic variant (simple, as it had been similar to how wishlisting operates), other products were intentionally added to the cart; so, it had been assumed (as this is the mechanism used for purchasing content) that it could be applicable to unrelated region-restricted items. There is even a superior single-link type (posted by SargonAelther) which, previously, I had not been aware of as it had been buried within a JavaScript file.

However, I would prefer not to propagate such a possibility, as some users may already be bypassing these limitations through the usage of other product-specific URLs (and, if this is popularized, either GOG, or, the governments of the affected nations may take 'corrective' action).

Epic Games:

112 Operator - Link
Have you ever wondered what happens when you call the emergency number?
Apart from receiving a fine whenever your toddler dials that funny number,
There are numerous processes behind the scenes.
Just for those who aren't aware, 112 is the emergency number for Europe and some regions of Asia.
There is a good reason why this job pays well. It is extremely stressful!
Today, you can become an operator without real life consequences and can still sleep at night!
It exceeds its successor, 911 Operator, by adding more areas and districts under your watch.
With an expanded variety of emergencies compared to 911 Operator,
Ranging from natural disasters to terrorism and organized crime, your role is crucial.
Act fast but accurately in assessing the situation and responding appropriately.

Features single player only!

Brief description from the storepage:
112 Operator allows you to manage emergency services in any city in the world! Dispatch units, take calls and face situations caused by weather, traffic or changing seasons. Help the city survive escalating events like riots, organized crime, terrorist attacks, cataclysms, natural disasters and many more!

Road Redemption - Link

On the other hand, in this game, you become the leader of a biker gang.
It is a predominantly a racing game but before you yawn and skip it.
This motorcycle game comes with a twist! You can fight while you race!
This is a real-life variation of mario kart.
Everything is fair game and nothing is considered too dirty.
Instead of throwing shells, you hit your competitors with a steel pipe!
And more!
This game also comes with a huge campaign for single player gamers.
You can also invite your friends to a co-op party and whack them off the roads!
Without an emergency operator sending police after you in real life...
Spoiler Alert: You might still see some public defenders chasing you in-game.

Features co-op and single player only!

Brief description from the storepage:
Road Redemption lets you lead a biker gang on an epic journey across the country in this driving combat road rage adventure. Huge campaign, dozens of weapons, full 4-player co-op splitscreen.

Purrfect! After installation, both Road Redemption and 112 Operator are DRM-free!
The game can run without the client active and no workaround needed.
Launch the exe file directly without resource hogging DRMs!

Not one but both games are DRM-free, what is there not to like? Meowtastic!

I couldnt replicate your result for road redemption.
It will launch on the pc i installed it, but not on a diferent pc without epic instaled that i copied the game folder to. Neither of the usual extra parameters seem to work.

This is a peeve of mine for a bunch of games that are "DRM-free" but actually are locked, so that's contradictory at this point. However, I'm not sure what is going on on your end, but it works for me. Especially since I can play with and wirthout DRM separately.

The login wrapper appears, and you can just x out of it without signing in. Did you happen to delete some files? There's no need to do that at all. You don't even need the client running. if you do happen to sign in to it anyway, it would forever sign you in without needing to run the client. Still kind of DRM, but it works so you don't need the client hogging up your resources that way.

I've never tried copying it to another computer before.
I think this is what Dark_Art meant by you need to launch the game once in client before the game can be launched without the client active or login. Something I did not notice because I would automatically need to launch it once to test for DRM anyway.

Did you get a prompt to login? You can close that and the game should launch as normal.
What error do you see?

In this case, you're not automatically signed in even the first time when you've launched from the client. It's an isolated system, so there's nothing special going on with the client itself. Maybe the client needs to be installed anyway, but you don't need the client even at least running at all for it to work whether you've signed in or not.

It's only that once you've signed in, it's signed in every time you open it from that point, regardless of however you've launched the game. Otherwise, even if you've separately run the game on another profile in the same system, it's also not affected by the other that logs in, so you can remain logged off.

Another way of running it, (even if you've previously signed in), regardless of your launch method, launch the game with your internet disconnected. It will bypass the log in wrapper entirely, and the overlay for it is not functional. So, this implies you can also play it offline. Overall, this matter shouldn't be a question.

I just tried the game on a diferent PC never connected to the internet and worked just fine for the whole 3 minutes I played. No commands needed.
Make sure you have all the dependencies installed.

Check this post by the always helpful AB2012 wich contains links for download most of the dependencies for offline install:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/does_anyone_know_the_libraries_and_other_software_required_on_a_clean_install/post4

Edit: I didn't receive any form of login like mentioned by TurdFerguson87, just clicked the executable and play.

That issue was for SIFU and as my internet is slow, will not download the game again but I wasn't able to launch it on a separate PC without starting from EPIC first. After the first start, copied the folder and launched fine, however there's some discussion on the PCGW page about it:

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Topic:Yr1b66fa79i72vqo

TLDR: SIFU starts but asks for internet connection after some time, no need for EPIC running but is DRM'd anyways. Not very surprising since it's from the same dev team as Absolver.

That said, as stated above, Road Redemption starts just fine :)

In the end, after reading the replies from Dark_art_ and TurdFerguson87 it works drm free, with a twist. This is what i tried:
- on a laptop with epic, i installed the game and it launches without the client running. Opens up a browser login prompt, wich i closed and the game runs after that.
- i zipped the game folder and moved it to another pc without epic installed:
- on launch it opens the same browser login, but the game stays on a black screeen. adding the usual
parameters didnt help.
- after reading Dark_art_'s reply, i unplugged the net cable, and voilá, now the game starts fine, without even
launching that browser login.

So thank you both, drxenija, TurdFerguson87 and Dark_art_, i can make it work disconnecting the internet cable, just like vampire survivors.
