[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

Erm, it says Early Access and has been that way for a while I think.

Early Access is irrelevant. It's the second series of the game, and it was just turned free and also stays in your library.

The Witness will be the next freebie on April 4th. Can't wait for this one. Heard a lot of good stuff about it. :D

Tacoma is free on Humble until March 24th at 10AM Pacific

Seems that it's a direct download through Humble rather than the traditional Steam key.

Nope, it's a drm-free direct download.

Does it? My page just shows a direct download through Humble. Do you need to link an account anyway to access it?

It still asks me for Steam link so it is not free for me.

Not a giveaway. Just a free-to-play game.

Stumbled on it because of the Steam Ubisoft Sale. Did not know that its a Free2play game. Thank you for the heads-up.

Remember being told by Humble a while back, when I made an account there just for a freebie and then saw the Steam requirement even if the game also had DRM free listed, that linking the Humble account to a Steam one is a prerequisite for redeeming any freebie they offer. Had a few choice words for them then, haven't bothered with Humble since.

I got Outcast: Second Contact from HB without Steam Link.

Maybe it has to do with the deadline to download of game. Well, I remember that Outcast: Second Contact had a deadline to download. And now Tacoma does not speak in the deadline to download after picking up the game.
