[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

slickrcbd: You can get Elder Scrolls:Arena and Elder Scrolls:Daggerfall free directly from Bethesda without Steam's DRM.
It will be pretty much exactly the same as if you downloaded the offline installers from GoG without using Galaxy.

Arena's been free for almost a decade, Daggerfall at least 5 years.
Arena was made free for the 10th anniversary, in 2004, Daggerfall for the 15th, in 2009.

Why would Morrowind become free on the 28th anniversary of Arena?

As of the Bethesda sale, GOG now has standalone game pages for both Elder Scrolls: Arena and Daggerfall (and they are no longer offered as freebies with the purchase of other Bethesda games).

I failed to claim this in the launcher for 2 hours, endless spinning blue circle after clicking
"Place Order" ( cart included ), but the website worked flawless.

Same for me, I also tried to disconnect the launcher, but I can't reconnect anymore. :/
