Currently, as of July 13th I think, prime members can claim Mass Effect Legendary Edition for
"free" from Amazon gaming. This also effects ppl with trial accounts "hint".

You will need to link your Origin account to prime.
That sounds cool. Is the Legendary Edition still full of bugs though? Might as well just stick to the original versions if so.

Played through it a couple of months back. Didnt notice any game breaking bugs.

Same as Sachys.
Played through the trilogy a couple times, haven't encountered any major bugs.

Do you know if it requires Origin launcher to run, or - once downloaded -, launcher can be uninstalled? The PC Gaming Wiki just states “Origin” in the DRM table on the game page, but I never used this launcher so I am not sure how it works.

It requires Origin to be running before the game starts. At least it does for other games like the original Mass Effects, Dragon Ages etc., so I'd expect this to be the same.

If you attempt to run the game with the client killed, it starts up Origin login window. If you uninstall it completely, I think it will prompt you to install it, although not 100% sure about this one. And the games probably wouldn't work without it anyway as the first thing it does after you launch the game is also connect to the EA servers.

Thank you for reply idbeholdME.
Uses Origin so hard pass for me.
low rated
Who cares? That game is DRM-infested and censored garbage too.

Still a great game, and there is no other way to play this game as there is no drm free version like dragon age origin or older bioware games

Won't lie, I find the censorship complaint somewhat funny as the game has a photo mode added to it allowing people to get all the posterior shots they want at angles not possible in the original version of the game.

There's also an easy mod that restores the butt shots for those who care, though personally I always thought they were awkward and am glad they're gone.

Origin is annoying, but unless you're hardcore DRM free only then it's no worse than Steam or Epic.

True, in terms of the story when those shots take place they are very awkward, someone telling you about her sister being in danger, a very serious moment, and you get the butt shot.
Free is a price I'd be willing to pay for DRM'd stuff. But going through the Prime trial activation process again? Absolutely not.

It has some bugs, but it's not as buggy as the original trilogy.
