Someone stole the 'e' from the word 'believe' in your previous (but one) post. :p
^ He b'lieves in spirits.
He can't summon a spirit properly; and he calls himself a wizard, pffft!
^ He does not know the difference between a wizard and a necromancer.
^ Fake LOTR fan who never read any of the LOTR books. In fact, he has only watched the The Hobbit trilogy, loved it, then went back to watch the other movies but fell asleep halfway through Fellowship of the Ring.
^ He has (apparently) recently ingested a serotonergic hallucinogen.
^Has ingested the pea from beneath that bunch of mattresses that one princess slept on that one time

IIRC they are the same thing except one dabbles in life/death magic and not other types. I think some even consider necromancers a type of wizard/mage.
^ He cooked that pea and ingested it at dinner yeaterday.

It is in the defintion wherein lies the difference. Necromancers are better known for the practice of black magic.

wizard
1) a person who practices magic; magician or sorcerer.

necromancer
1) one who employs a method of divination through alleged communication with the dead; black art.

Eh, to me I just lump them all as mage/wizard/etc but with different titles based on power sets. :)
He may not realize that all edible peas are "previously eaten," as people have eaten every known variety before.
^ knows the difference between wizard and necromancer, but not that between wizard, warlock and sorcerer

^ He actually was that child who wandered aimlessly into the middle of the film.
