Oh GOG :P

FWIW, the wishlist button seems to be spruced up, and all the stats are right under that, so perhaps...

mrkgnao: A few hours ago GOG has subtly changed the game page format in a way that -- you guessed it -- completely breaks MaGog. I will look into it tonight. Meanwhile, I have disabled MaGog's database updates, so its state is frozen to around midnight GMT November 4-5.
That's a big bummer! What changes did they make?

EDIT: Apparently it also broke Barefoot Essentials as I don't get a link to GOGWiki on game pages. *sigh*

Didn't dive it into it yet, as I'm at work, but my guess is some of the HTML tags have changed.
I'm guessing we're on the brink of Galaxy, based on Judas's posts in the "What did just update?" thread.

Figured as much with all the backwards changes to the update system - if you have a client to detect your updates for you, why would you need to be able to do so yourself manually as well?

mrkgnao: ANNOUNCEMENT:
Version 3.4.0 has been released with the following features:
* Added fitering by, sorting by and display of "Past Sale" information (i.e. last sale date and discount + best sale date and discount)
*** Note: Available sale information goes back only to late May 2014.
*** Note: Information is at best partial for sales that lasted less than 24 hours (e.g. insomnia sales, flash sales).
Sorry, haven't looked into this thread in a while, so I'm late to see you have done again a lot of good work. Nice feature, very useful!

As the nominal price of some games have changed and will change over time it may be worth to also add a "best sale price" field (in addition to the best sale discount).

Thank you for the kind words.

I try to avoid information overload. Since the number of games that change their price is small (certainly less than a dozen a year), for now I believe I shall stick to the percentages, but I will bear your suggestion in mind.

On the other hand, perhaps I should instead maintain a history of games that changed their prices. I should be able to get past information rather easily form my "From Magog's logs" posts without need to re-analyse all my logs. I'll think about it after the current crisis is over.

That's a good idea and probably the "cleaner" way.
I've noticed that MaGog isn't showing the newest promo on sale. When I set the fields for "Price" "Is currently on sale" it only shows "Devil's Dare" "Lovely Planet" and "Tales of Maj'Eyal." But it's not showing any of the other current sales.

See here.

I hope to have it fixed by Monday-Tuesday, perhaps earlier.
