The engine nowadays is a bit, unwieldy I suppose you could say. Takes a level or three to get comfortable with, but after that it's a very solid good old westwood experience. I really should try to finish it someday. Got pretty far with the Harkonnen and their awesome Sardaukar (they're pretty damn powerful in emperor)

Good luck trying to find a used copy or even a download of it for that matter (without viruses of course) but it was a very good RTS that had good balance among all the factions and you add in mods and its perfect. Also love the glitch using the Harkonnen Air Defense Platforms that let you kill anything, anywhere.

You may not know it, but my forum nickname would indeed indicate I am a big fan of RTS.

I think that is what is being determined. It's possible after all that some regulars only like more modern RTS titles.

Well, not anymore but back then I did loved Dune 2; Warcraft 1 & 2 and the occasional C&C. Oh and good old Starcraft of course.
