toxicTom: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (hard!)
More like really badly designed and extremely disjointed! It actually relies on the fact that one may have watched the movie recently. After I just replayed it last month, I don't think I ever want to touch it again. As a movie tie-in of sorts it's somewhat passable, but judged on its own it's not very good, and it hasn't aged well either. It's also incredibly short. I swear they threw in all those fisticuffs just to pad the game length. There's too much trial and error in trying to forego the fighting and the last checkpoints section is just absurd.

They obviously learned their lesson for Atlantis because it's superior by far in pretty much every way, including the option of avoiding fighting altogether.

Luned: Enter "Point-and-click" (exactly as shown, minus the quotation marks) into the search box on the games page. You'll get 4 pages of games, such as:
Awesome, thanks for the tip!

Wistala: Alright, so far I can see from people's post. Blackwell, Indiana Jones, and Gimini Rue, seems to be the games that most people like. While Resonance, Shardlight, and Gray Matter, seems interesting out of the games suggested. I did a google search one them and only those 3 really seemed interesting.
Technobabylon is pretty similar to Resonance and Shardlight in terms of gameplay. I didn't enjoy its dystopian setting that much, but its puzzles are excellent, among the best I've seen in adventure games.
Simon the Sorcerer 2 is well worth it.
The Feeble Files
Toonstruck
Type point-and-click into the search box and it should filter the games properly.

It doesn't work with spaces or gaps between the words, so be sure it's point-and-click. You should get about 4 pages of games.

Back to the Future - I loved this game, but you have to a fan of the movies already.

Beneath a Steel Sky is one and it's free here.

Syberia: I enjoy Syberia 1 & 2 and Syberia 3 will be realeased soon The beginning of Syberia 1 is really slow, but after that first section the story picks up and Syberia 2 has superior controls. I recommend it.

Technobabylon - I haven't finished it, but it's a futuristic sci-fi story and very interesting so far. I recommend it.

New Beginning: Final Cut -- I haven't finished this one either yet, so I'm not going to give it a ringing endorsement.

The Dig - I got stuck on this one and still haven't figured my way out.

Machinarium Collector's Edition - more of a point and click puzzle about the story of a robot. It is cute and kind of reminds me of Wall-E I recommend it.

I see. Haven't played either so I wouldn't know if I would like that one.

A question to anyone knowing the Blackwell series. Which one is the first one? Legacy?

Great minds think alike.

Yes, Legacy is the 1st one.

I'd avoid The Dig. At first it seems like a great game, unique story, great look and atmosphere, but it completely falls apart later because of puzzles that make no freaking sense.

Since you liked Deponia and Edna & Harvey I'd suggest you play Daedalic's other titles- Night of the Rabbit, Anna's Quest and most of all Chains of Satinav and Memoria. Those two are just phenomenal.

Also worth checking out- Toonstruck (an underrated gem, really awesome), Ben There Dan That it's almost like a Bill & Ted game), Grim Fandango (not as good as some people make it seem but still good) and Broken Age (a letdown for those expecting a masterpiece, but still nice enough).

Duh!...
I did do a google search some month ago and I remember it being confusing in finding out which one was first. Oh well. Should have checked again before asking. Thanks tho!

I agree with that, my first impression of The Dig was favourable as well, but after some "How was I supposed to figure this out?" moments I stopped playing it and don't intend to come back.
Lack of love for Gobliins in this thread is disappointing. :(
Hector Badge of Carnage has the best humour, characterisation and voice acting I've come across alongside a good little story line.

Seconded on Chains Of Satinav/Memoria games. Moebius is pretty good but not great. Lost Horizon is trying to be Indiana Jones and comes close but I didn't like the protagonist, worth a go though. Still Life is a classic. 1954 Alcatraz is good if you fancy a 1940s jazz themed exploration.

Oh, I forgot about it, and I should not have. A greatly underappreciated game. It has a unique style, good story and characters, logical puzzles, it's plenty of fun.

When I asked about anything similar to Hector Badge of Carnage people considered this the most 'similar', although I haven't got into it because there isn't voice acting. So in that spirit I'd recomend to you Hector Badge of Carnage ;)
