I am once again begging for regional pricing on EA and Activision games
And I am once again thanking them for not overcharging based on region.

Some prices are slightly higher in my region. Mexico / LATAM. Fucking Microsoft.

GOG usually is being attached to the Steam "exchange rate" which is nothing offiicial. Nonetheless... looks like GOG stopped to even post exchange rates anymore because they know it themself "it is rigged" and it is slowly moving away from any "real exchange rate".
Today i was browsing GOG and saw RE Bundle (ofc individual titles are also more expensive), it went significantly up in prize in Poland without any notice, very weird practice.

Also Dino Crisis and Dragon's Dogma (other Capcom games) - for nearly all non-eurozone/non-US regions. Also see this thread.

I was about to buy Stonekeep and so I loaded up the page and the price is jacked up to $17.50 AUD at 20% off. $21.95 AUD at full price. Same on steam. All time low on GOG is $2.68.

A while ago I noticed the same thing happened to Sacrifice on steam. It looks like Interplay significantly jacked up the prices on all their games. It's kind of gross.

Over a month ago. Though Stonekeep seems to have been missed from that post.

GOG.com: We are slightly adjusting local pricing due to changes in currency exchange rates.

Due to recent significant changes in currency conversion rates, we need to re-evaluate and update the local price values for the products on GOG.com. When preparing for the launch of our local currency payment options we've monitored the conversion rates for 18 months, looking at the average, and rounding it to the closest 0.09. That's how we came up with - for example - the 4.49€ equivalent for the $5.99 price-tag (with 4.51€ being the average converted price out of the previous 18 months). With fairness and clarity in mind, we decided to stick to the prices calculated this way, and only update them if a really considerable change in currency exchange rates would occur.

Unfortunately, this happened much sooner than anyone would expect. There are evident changes in the conversion rates for almost all currencies used on GOG.com. Therefore, we are forced to adjust some of the local-currency prices of the GOG.com catalog items. The prices are changing only by a small margin that allows us to compensate for the recent shifts in currency exchange rates. Here's a representative example of the pricing changes:

For $9,99 games:
- the EUR price was: 7,49; is: 7,99
- the GBP price was: 5,99; is: 6,19
- the AUD price was: 10,89; is: 11,49
- the RUB price was: 359; is: 389
Maybe this is related, but I find giving lower price offer and then expecting to pay 25% more on gift checkout smells like scam :-(

See https://www.gog.com/forum/general/store_gift_pricing_scam_different_on_store_and_cart_but_higher_on_checkout

If this is a bug please fix it asap because this does not look like fair market practice :-(

Not a scam, not a bug, and also not something for this thread. But as you were told in that thread too, since gift codes aren't region locked on GOG, the price is the higher one between the buyer's regional price and the base (US) price of the game, so those from regions that get discounts will pay the (higher) US price. On the other hand, those of us from regions that pay more still pay "our" even higher price...
Quick question, I see Rise Eterna in store listing as 'on sale' and for $1.86 (the displayed lowest price). But when I open the product page, the price shown is actually the full price with no discount. It reads:

Offer ends on: 12/02/2026 15:59 EET — $18.42
Lowest price in the last 30 days before discount: $1.84
https://www.gog.com/en/game/rise_eterna

This obviously makes no sense, but I wonder if this is a bug related to local pricing, or some general bug instead? As in, is this a case of me being erroneously shown a sale that isn't actually available in my region, shown a sale that isn't supposed to be exist at all, or inversely shown a full price where a discount was supposed to be shown?

By the way, the Cart displays the full price as well.

Also, same thing for Rise Eterna War, and Fear Effect: Sedna Collector's Edition:

Offer ends on: 12/02/2026 15:59 EET — $10.63
Lowest price in the last 30 days before discount: $1.06
https://www.gog.com/en/game/rise_eterna_war

Offer ends on: 12/02/2026 15:59 EET — $27.41
Lowest price in the last 30 days before discount: $2.74
https://www.gog.com/en/game/fear_effect_sedna_collectors_edition

Thanks!

It had this discount until the 4th, and then the main overview page developed a bug (new since this week) where it didn't properly get updated with the current pricing. It's already been reported to GOG, but yeah, it makes browsing the store very annoying. Most displayed discounts are correct, but a small percentage aren't. The price shown on the game page is leading, as you've noticed.

FWIW, my price tracking site GameSieve shows the correct prices as listed on game pages, as I use the API behind the game pages, rather than the one behind the overview page, so you could use this as an alternative way to browse the store.

ElDoRado1239:
FYI: They're on sale for real now. (So I guess they were always meant to be.)
