There's actually a terribly outdated old GOGmix about it:
https://www.gog.com/mix/gogs_that_require_galaxy_client_for_multiplayer
Looking through the boards it seems as if prkprkprk has actually left GOG two years ago because of the rise of Galaxy and what obviously came with it.

Grim Dawn has a LAN option in the multiplayer settings, though I've never tried it.

Some games that have offline multiplayer with a single computer, no Galaxy or network connection required:
Guacamelee
Crimzon Clover
Shovel Knight (with most recent update)

Thanks to both.
I've thought about a list with single computer multiplayer and will add it since you already started it.

Does anyone know whether the multiplayer mode of "Anomaly 2" and for "8-bit Invaders" works without Galaxy?
It's not stated on the game card but that doesn't mean much.

Ghorpm: Offworld Trading Company requires Galaxy for multiplayer
Thanks, added.

Also added "Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation + all DLCs".
The list is getting longer...

Also:
What did become of the Galaxy plans for Aragami?
Is it still possible to play it online without Galaxy?

Broforce
Victor Vran

Both offer local co-op on the same computer. Unfortunately for the online multiplayer both rely on servers run by the devs and don't support multplayer via LAN.

Thanks, added.

Also added "BattleZone 98 Redux + The Red Odyssey" to the mandatory Galaxy list
and a few more to the others.

I'm also through page one from here now.
It would be nice if someone else would go through page 2, etc... and check the store pages, the subforums and probably also
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki which also shows multiplayer types also split between local and local via LAN.
Maybe we could make that a community effort (in the hopes of at least some remnants of the old community being around at all).
Since I get region blocked, some don't show for me anyway.

Online multiplayer of Omerta works fine without Galaxy.

Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator offers both a local hotseat vs mode and an online vs mode without the need for Galaxy. Or at least the Linux version does.

works better than the online mp, tbh :)
and as you can guess, LAN = online with little effort

also iirc windward does have both online mp and LAN modes and last time/patch i checked, it seemed to rely on decent TCP/IP networking without any particular additional need or condition, but i could be wrong

PS: i guess than in a mere year, this forum will see a thread like "Games that works DRM free on GOG" btw :)

Finished going through page 1+2 here:
https://www.gog.com/games?feature=multi&sort=title&page=1

Hopefully the information I found on each game in the subforums and pcgamingwiki was correct.
May have missed some region blocked games as always (no idea).

I won't have time to do page three in the next week due to work and other things, maybe someone has.
