Newbie: Wait, why is galaxy required for crossplay? If the game's patched for true DRM free spec, then you should be able to crossplay without any sort of client required....unless I'm missing something....

Gersen: IIRC correctly, some devs said that "crossplay" between Steam and Galaxy means that the Steam version actually uses Galaxy infrastructure for multiplayer instead of the Steam, hence why it's something that needs to be added since day one and cannot be added later.
Oh I see...but surely the infrastructure can be baked into the game so you can simply host a listen server or even a dedicated server from your own game install without requiring a third party to do so? Which means you don't even need a client to make it work as its game sided.

Newbie: I can't remember if I've seen this posted somewhere or if i posted it somewhere, but GoG is now only doing single player drm free spec and not the full game, of which includes the multiplayer/coop aspect if there is one, right?

Talisman: Digital Edition requires Galaxy for multiplayer.
From the store page:

GOG Galaxy 2.0 is required to access online features.

I believe that Knights & Bikes can be added to the list of games that require Galaxy for online co-op (2 players). I just did it.
You can invite a Galaxy friend in game.

Add Stronghold: Warlords to the list of Galaxy Client only multiplayer ! Doesn't have LAN and requires to be online on the galaxy client to use the lobby ... " DRM FREE " !

Streets of Rogue
After discussing its requirements in another thread, I checked it out. It allows LAN multiplayer and has online multiplayer available without Galaxy.

Awesome list, thank you.

Its always a hassle to search if LAN and/or hotseat is supported.

When I can't find an affirmation that it is, I assume its not and factor that in my decision to buy the game or not.

PS: Haven't played on the latest patch of Factorio, but last time I checked, you could play on a LAN and even setup your own server on the internet.

Star Trek™: Away Team
Star Trek™: Starfleet Command III
Star Trek™: Bridge Commander
Star Trek™: Elite Force II
Star Trek™: Voyager - Elite Force

All of them have this mentioned in their store pages:
Please Note: Multiplayer is available only via TCP/IP LAN.

Cat Quest 2 has multiplayer on a single PC. I haven't tested it out myself as it requires one player to use the keyboard and mouse and the other to use a gamepad controller. There is no hotseat or splitscreen as both players are meant to work cooperatively.
