Yes it uses dosbox, but dosbox is compiled into a new executable. So the original dos executable is not present and it doesn't use the standard GOG dosbox version.

Sorry, I thought I made it clear when I said the original dos executable is not there, they have merged the original game and dosbox into a new program for modern operating systems, so it cannot be run with any other dosbox.

Well there you go there is a wl.exe in game/rom directory and if you move stuff from game/rom//data into the same directory as wl.exe it will run with dosbox of your own choice.
Is this list still being maintained? The Legacy: Realm of Terror uses dosox 0.74.
