When I have time, on Galaxy I enjoy adding custom tags to games I own on GOG, and I was wondering if with the help of other people it's possible to create as comprehensive a list as possible for a given tag. I imagine back in the GOGmix days something like this existed, but unfortunately that cool idea was trashed forever thanks to one of the many wonderful ideas GOG has had over the years.

To start I would like to focus on the tag "Animals", then if this thing interests many, we will move on to other possible tags.

Some simple guidelines. A game falls under the "Animals" category if it has one or more of the following conditions:

1. The protagonist and/or co-protagonist is an animal, realistic or anthropomorphic.
2. The antagonist and/or most of the enemies are animals.
3. The world in which we move is populated by realistic or anthropomorphic animals.
4. A creature can be considered an animal if it exhibits characteristics similar to Earth animals, in a more or less anthropomorphized form, whether it lives on Earth or in some fantasy world that resembles the Earth. An alien creature from another planet, no matter how similar to Earth creatures, is not considered an animal but an alien. For example Shelter falls into the category because it has a real badger as the protagonist, as well as Jazz Jackrabbit with an anthropomorphic rabbit as protagonist. Carrion instead doesn't fall in the category because the protagonist is an alien life form.

Several RPGs allow party members of animal-like races (e.g. catlike, ratlike, lizardlike, minotaurs etc.).
Wizardry 6+7 and Wizardry 8 are a couple of examples.

Worms are animals? Hmm I swore they was categorized into Insects only? well I learned something new today lol

It's true that in fantasy worlds dragons could be considered animals, but since they don't exist in the real world, I would tend to exclude them from this list.

Boo is a tough one, he is described as a "Miniature Giant Space Hamster" so it sounds like he's an alien life form that happens to resemble a hamster or am I wrong? I'm not familiar with Stellaris' lore, but they're supposed to be aliens that happen to resemble Earth animals, so I'd rule them out.
Perfect, if you have other examples where you remember exactly the presence of anthropomorphic animals let me know!

Out of curiosity, the bear of "Bear with me" is alive or is a talking puppet?
In Giants: Citizen Kabuto what animals are there? Or are they aliens?
