wolfsrain: I'm still waiting for the upgrade options for PoE on GOG....
Has Avellone finished writing the books? I wonder if he ever will. Well maybe i'd upgrade at some point so yeah, where are the upgrade options GOG. Steam has them since release.
Well, let´s resurrect this thread. I´m kicking off a new thread at SquareEnix. It might take some time to get online as they´ve switched to full moderation of new users. So ready up accounts... :D

Good, I was just about to bump this one myself. :) From the OP, we've come quite a ways, but there's still much more to go.
Regarding Japanese publishers and developers, I doubt we will see any major developments until the launch of Japanese language support, but here's hoping!
Additionally, maybe you should include social media links where applicable. GOG's Biz Dev Q&A mentioned how large publishers noted that GOG users were asking about releases on those platforms, but not on forums:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gog/comments/67uksk/gog_bizdev_qa_answers/
And besides Square Enix, another company we haven't heard from in a long time is Atari, which still has plenty of good old games that they can bring.

Thanks for that link.

Regarding Atari, I´m not sure which games are actually in the Portfolio of LATEST Atari.
On a whim I created a thread on the EA forum suggesting they should work with GOG and Herbert Properties to re-release the Westwood Dune games because it seems a new Dune movie is happening. (Also Brian Herbert seems more open to this type of thing now on Twitter, suggesting big things are happening with the Dune IP.)

https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/New-Dune-movie-EA-should-work-w-GOG-and-Dune-owners-to-release/m-p/6621970#M7829

As always, it helps if other people make their voices heard. It's not hard at all to make an Origin account.

MS bought Compulsion Games (developers of We Happy Few) and a bunch of other innovative studios. Sad day (kind of DRM dark empire expansion).

They mention in the newspost that the release date will be August 10th, and that they will be re-opening pre-orders on GOG shortly. At least in this case, GOG will still be getting the game.
https://compulsiongames.com/en/news/178/we-happy-few-coming-august-10-2018-and-compulsion-joining-the-microsoft-studios-family!
I know it was pulled from In Dev, but I didn't see when the game's card got pulled from the catalog completely.

I'm not really concerned for We Happy Few, since Compulsion already have some agreements in place. I'm just sad that their future games will probably be MS exclusives (bye bye DRM-free Linux releases). While they think it's good for them, for me it feels like "another one bites the dust".

Bumping because I'm not sure where else to post this. It's possible the devs just haven't had time to answer, but I've asked twice about Hong Kong Massacre coming to GOG and haven't gotten a response yet, despite the devs seemingly being active with others on Twitter. Anybody else want to give it a shot, try to get any answer on the matter? (or perhaps we just need to be patient)

Obviously GOG could reject it but it looks pretty polished and very much like Hotline Miami.

Interesting discussion, with surprisingly large amount of DRM proponents who I suspect simply represent legacy publishers

https://reddit.com/r/Stadia/comments/b977ex/proposal_for_google_stadia_provide_drmfree

Feel free to comment there, to improve DRM-free side representation :)

Regarding Doom 64, if anybody has Twitter and wants to latch onto MechMouse's explicit request for Doom 64 coming to GOG (like I did), it couldn't hurt. We may already be in luck since Bethesda recently showed us love. (if not a day-1 release, perhaps not too far in the future)

I very rarely use Twitter, so not sure I did it right, but I think I left a reply in support of those releases.
