A new guide has been published for Pillars of Eternity, now with support for v2.0 & The White March Part 1.
Now you can complete your Fallout collection, with the inclusion of Fallout Tactics to the project.

Some suggestions for the usage instructions. First, include a prompt with all commands

$ ls
gog_terraria_2.0.0.3.sh play-anything.sh play-terraria_gog-2.0.0.3.sh
$

# apt-get install unzip fakeroot
Second, have the dependencies install at the top of the page or at least at the start of each section.
Third, using a sample directory, ~/play.it or whatever, in the instructions may help a new user who is trying to follow along.
Last, also least, having 30 copies of play-anything.sh or having to constantly move it around slightly offends my sensibilities. Perhaps you could allow specifying its location as an advanced usage option?

I’ll keep that in mind for the new guides and updates to the ones already online.

This one I’m not sure to understand. The dependencies are listed right after the target files, where would you like to see them?

Could you give me an example of what you mean?

I can, and will, add an option for this.
It will be a per-script modification, so please list me the scripts you would like to use with this option and I’ll do them first.

At the top of the page before any game specific instructions or at the beginning of each section if needed. Like you did here.

The as of yet unwritten Might & Magic 1-6 scripts? The POL script hasn't been updated since the unbundling. No particular preference though as I don't have MM1-6 in my GOG library and I don't use the scripts myself.
I guess you could have it check for some specific location under $HOME as well. Current directory, if it exists, should override though.

I wrote this based on your suggestion, and that’s the model I’m probably keeping for future guides.

vv221: [use a sample work dir in instructions]

Gydion: Sure.
I’ll see if I can find something that does not make the instructions look like a wall of code.

It’s done on some prototype scripts I’ll publish soon.
The 'play-anything.sh' file is first looked for at the value given by a $PLAYIT_LIB variable, that you have to set prior to run the script, and if this var is empty it does look in the current dir:
PLAYIT_LIB=~/.config/play-anything.sh sh ./play-pharaoh_gog-2.0.0.12.sh

I won’t take care of the Might & Magic series, I don’t own them and don’t plan to buy them anytime soon.
But as usual I’m open to contributions ;)

A wiki fully dedicated to the ./play.it project has gone live:
http://wiki.dotslashplay.it/

Links to usage guides will be updated to point to this new wiki. Meanwhile, if by following a link about the ./play.it project you’re still directed to the debian-facile.org wiki, please signal it here.

As usual, all feedback about this wiki is welcome here ;)
Don’t Starve has been added to the mix!

Once again, thanks to mortalius ;)
Today is the time for a bit of DOS nostalgia with Dragonsphere, another game which support has been added by mortalius.
It’s been a while since the last publication, so here’s a new supported game just so you know this project ain’t dead:
Space Pirates And Zombies
