Now that movies are a thing, GOG will need separate sections for general gaming/general movies along with the off topic section they should be adding this week.

If any, they should create just a movies subforum. General is general, not gaming general where everything else is, well, offtopic. Never understood where people got that idea from.

Tarnicus: And now I see why GOG has no resources to work on the forums :( Good luck with your latest gamble GOG, unfortunately the changes to the site you have made have buggered the one thing that made the forums functional, Barefoot Essentials. Fortunately Barefoot Monkey is continuing to work on it :)
Well, if the forum ever matched the current site design, then I'd be certain that GOG wants us to stop visiting it.

Alexrd: Now that the site has been updated, can't we get a forum overhaul?
Nope. I was told by support that they can't afford it.
I'd appreciate a link on the forum page itself with the ?staff=yes included. It shows up if I go to the General discussion page, but when I'm following it from a news post I don't end up there. Not a big thing, but if you could fit it in the UI it'd be pretty handy and help people who're wanting to know what responses there have been to questions to quickly see the official word as opposed to feed off others' speculation (that's how a lot of things get out of hand).

Alexrd: slightly bigger avatars
I prefer the small avatars here vs the crap on vbulletin, xenforo and other forum software. Big pictures, signatures and all that other stuff just gets in the way and is distracting.

I think it's a great asset the the GOG forum is simple and basic - more focus on the words! which is surely why we're all here?

How about they create a subforum just for TheJoe - nobody else has access to it, he doesnt get access here and he can moderate over his domain and leave us all in peace?!

O____o?

That's okay I already manage a community elsewhere and have my own resources to do that if I wanted to. Thanks, though.
Forum improvement? Yes please.

General Chat aka Games Discussion only
Off Topic (Movies, Photography, Politics, Religion etc)
Giveaways (self explanatory)

I agree, but I'm not asking for big pictures or signatures, but slightly bigger than what we have. I'd say 100x100 is an acceptable size.

One doesn't deny the other.
It has been said all over the forum already, but I want to say it here too: lately my experience with the forum has become very grey. That is very ugly and makes me sad. Please bring back the colors - and make that ugly top bar narrower and, of course, a bit more colorful as well.
I don't like that constant banner at the top of the page, why has it been designed to be so 'in your face'? It's hardly difficult for us to scroll to the top of the screen if we want to change filters.

I'm afraid this new webpage design is just awful. There's nothing attractive about it, it fact it's rather repulsive (in context).

EDIT.. Anyone else noticing that when the page reloads after you post, you end up at the bottom of the screen and have to scroll up to see the thread again. So we're scrolling when we shouldn't have to and not scrolling when it would be preferable. :(

I'd say I'm feeling blue with my current "experience" but that might indicate a certain level of feeling..instead I'm feeling like one of those overcast days - steely grey day, kinda damp and miserable...endless waves of grey...

Not sure I wanna join the square, grey revolution but it appears I have no choice - Viva Arstotzka!

Welcome to the revolution Grey Momo, i believe only Judas would actually notice this silent protest because he is the only one that spends any significant time on the forum. :)

Should we spam the twitter and other shit, then?
