I'd love to see some kind of method of preventing multiple accounts here on GOG... Just sayin'

This. It would be great too if moderators have the ability to force ignore two people with each other in case they start a flame war in a thread that never ends. Of course that ability might not be wise to give to every moderator, maybe the head of moderators or something like that.

If you're talking about anti-scamming measures I think requiring a CAPTCHA along with at least one game purchased to post in the General Discussion and reviews would severely limit bots a great deal. Otherwise in general I don't see a problem with people having multiple accounts if they want to. Speaking of reviews, while I don't read them personally too much a function to filter out non-GOG owners to avoid nostalgic glasses would be great too.
Just saying the thing ive said before: more editing options for posts and threads. The popup window is also kinda small.

This is just confusing. And I don't know what has caused it, or which thread should be the main one, but we should have 2 of them locked, and discuss the rules/recomendations for secure trading. Some of that could be used also for a future Galaxy Trading feature, if the Community wish gets ikmplemented at some point
So one has been locked at least, hasnit ?

two
SImple technical issue:
Editing the settings of the community options (My Settings - Forum "title", display options etc...)
is neither possible from "My Account -> Options" nor from the cummunity page.
I have to go inside some topic. I haven't found these settings for a long time because of this.

Another one:
In "topics I've participated in" I always have to click about 10 times on "Show more" and still miss something.
It would be nice to have the complete list available.
I would like to see additional forum code tags added:

To be used like (quote) (/quote) except it preserves the spacing for use when displaying programming code or error messages. (Or whatever anyone can think of at that moment. Text art for example.)

[S] [/S]
Strikeout tag for placing a line ---- through the bracketed text.

Additionally I'd like to note that the (I) (/I) tag currently used on the forum sometimes hasn't been appearing as an option when I post. (It's there when I edit the post though.) Hasn't happened lately, thought I'd mention it just in case it helps track a bug down or something. -_^

Absolutely Agree. Man the amount of times I've tried to use both those tags...
Creating a new thread in General discussion doesn't work for me.

The forums have anti-spam protection that disallows new users from doing certain things. Daily participation in the forums gains rep points which after a number of days allow posting URLs and other restrictions fade away also. Keeps SPAM and advertisements out of the forums from people who sign up for a new account, spam and then leave right away.

So it was because of URL. Too bad because the actual url is located at gog.com and the page doesn't even report any error about it.

Yeah it kind of blows. :) I was really irritated for about a month when I started using the forums because half of my posts got eaten with no explanation given. Eventually someone told me it was anti-spam. I hope the website redesign does away with that and puts something more 2014 and less 1981 in place. :)

One month ? I thought the url unlock was set at 10 rep. That would be 10 days not counting any uprepping vote.

Am I wrong ?

Not sure but I was limited and experiencing problems for much longer than 10 rep personally. It wasn't until 25 or more that things smoothed out for me. I'm estimating the timeframe to be a month although it felt like 6.
