With Star Wars Day approaching, we want to honor this amazing franchise in the best way we can: by adding iconic classics from a galaxy far, far away to the GOG Preservation Program!

That’s right – while we kick off intergalactic celebrations with May the 4th sale, we also decided to put special attention into some of the most classic Star Wars games out there; those titles shaped who we are, and it’s about time to go back to them.

The following titles have been updated to run as smoothly as possible on modern systems and are now made to live forever:
STAR WARS™ Dark Forces (Classic, 1995) (-75%)
STAR WARS™: X-Wing Special Edition (-75%)
STAR WARS™: TIE Fighter Special Edition (-75%)
STAR WARS™ Battlefront (Classic, 2004) (-75%)
Star Wars™: Rebel Assault 1 + 2 (-75%)

All discounts end on May 6th, 7 AM CEST.

This is phenomenal news! When the GOG Preservation Program was first announced, the first thing that came to mind was all the classic Star Wars PC games. So I can't tell you how stoked I am to see it actually happening. Thank you, GOG! You guys are doing God's work! Here's hoping more of the classic Star Wars games will become part of your preservation program! :D

I must say, though, I'm pretty disappointed that yet another "May the 4th" is upon us, and still NONE of the missing classic Star Wars PC games have been added to GOG's library. Been waiting years for 'em. :'(
