How would molten plastic be worse? In fact, it might provide for a smoother experience. ;)

stg83: True dat, and in typical GOG fashion the first thing they did was eliminate all caps cursing on the forum in thread titles as well as posts. That is what complaining with attention grabbing profanity laced thread titles got us, talk about priorities.
i know i keep mentioning this often
but the "great unbundeling of 2015" just shows how fucked up gog's priorities are

lets ignore the forum problems or that galaxy is a piece of shit
no what really matters is that all the games are not in bundles anymore thats what the people care about

It's somehow silly.

Oil is an extremely precious resource, and we waste it to produce fuels ( considering how unefficient are thermal engines and the fact that it's a one time use ). Of course there are attempts to replace these engines by newer technologies, but let's face it, States are not very much in favour of losing the taxes they pump on that consumption.
On the other hand, lego blocks are the very type of item that has prolungated lifetime and gets re-used again and again, sometimes over suuccessive generations. So the use of a precious raw material should not be that much of an issue.

probably because the oil price is not going to get cheap again in the near future, they search for alternatives. but anyway, do you think childrens are still playing with lego today?

Yes, they are. Mine for instance can't get enough of playing with that stuff. It's their favourite toy by a pretty big margin. Same goes for a lot of the kids in my oldest son's class.

I won't let them anywhere near the stuff anymore if Snowkatts invention goes into production though :)

thats interesting, i thought that kids today are hooked on mobile devices since they get 3 years old and it stays like that.

Well, that too ofcourse. Give any kid (especially boys) a toy with a screen and a couple of buttons that cause stuff on said screen to happen (i.e. an immediate action/result reward system) and they seem to become instantly hooked. You're definitely right on that.
It's just that I don't let my kids play on my phone/tablet/computer all day and they know that, so as soon as they get up in the morning they grab the Lego and start building. It's really fun to see what their imagination leads to every time :)

Well that'd make for a politically incorrect Barbie if ever there was one.
No matter how many times I happen to spot this thread title, it still makes me smile every time. Thanks snowkatt!
