Hello good rom2 ppll!
I have downloaded rom2 after years of absence (since Windows 95/98 and Intel 133mhz) and i’ve come over a bit of a disagreement. I’ve come to understand there are several «new» maps, custom maps, and seen guides on these maps and «How to play» this game… I played this for several years, back in the days, and I play it like i’ve always played it for many years, legit, with only the original maps. No quest maps as i’ve seen several of by now. And the funny thing is that my stats, my charachters, my warrior espescially, goes way over the «cheating» characters using custom maps.

Comparing myself to a russian guy with a very poular guide out. And this russian dude @ forum.allods2.com is trying to tell people How this game is most enjoyed. And he uses custom made maps, and quests. In Writing moment i have 87 body on warrior, and only 3/9 item are body 5, and i have not seen better stats than me atm, searching throuout Google… I welcome anyone to post a screenshot telling me different. And only as an original character in the original game. With original maps.
And for anyone who doubts me or telling me I cheated, I will give you the real walkthrough. What to do on easy maps. Medium. Hard. And horror. Both as warrior and mage. I’ve soloed dragon(5) as both. No cheats. No custom maps. The game played the way it should be. Both are relatively easy to play, if you know How to play the game and characters.

I'm new to posting. I wasn't sure if i should make a new thread. I was trying to play RoM 2 Necromancer. I bought it through GoG.com and found what appears to be legits maps through Phantasia.

I have a couple questions. I've found a weapon costing 1 gold under 20 million. The most costly armor pieces under 10 million. What map(s) have the shops to buy the best gear at ?

Also, I've been having trouble playing multiplayer. Me and my friend tried using Hamachi LogmeIn. We can see our created games after a like 30 second delay but can't join them. Allow traffic is set correctly, our hamachi has worked with other old games.

I can't help you with your questions, since I don't own the game, but - in general - it's better to look into the game's specific subforums first, to see whether a solution to your problem exists already (= best case scenario).

Also, the subforums are (theoretically at least) the place to ask your questions in regard to a game...though that's a two sided sword, since the games' subforums are usually way more deserted than the general forum.
