BeatriceElysia: You know these GOG bots that fire up when there's new sale to announce, new game to announce, etc...? Where are these bots now? I see Bard's Tale 4 is discounted, is it leaving GOG storefront? What about unannounced weekend sale?

HunchBluntley: What are you talking about?

What about it? If s/he was referring to the news post apparently going up late -- that's not exactly uncommon. I don't have any clue where the "This recent game has an unannounced discount, that must mean it's leaving the store" was coming from, either.

No idea, was there a post regarding Bard's Tale 4? If not, then OP has a point. If there was, then it was probably missed. Front page doesn't work for me and I'm too lazy to check the other pages on this forum to confirm anything.
What exactly would a niche website that's MO is about selling DRM free games have to announce? That they've bought a bust of William Gates III?

...So you agree with the OP that any unannounced discount is reason enough to jump to the (absurd) conclusion that the game in question must be be in imminent danger of removal? Because I wouldn't call that "having a point".
Again, unannounced discounts are not exactly a new thing here. There's a whole thread dedicated to making people aware of them. :)

That's one of the many side effects of GOG doing that secret wishlist based giveaway and informing only customers who use wishlist about games leaving the store.

If GOG isn't as open and honest about the status of their catalog and all, people start believing rumors and seeing signs where there necessarily aren't any.

Hm? I'm pretty sure it's more about GOG employees and things not working (see OP's follow-up posts). I didn't put any weight into "[...]is it leaving GOG storefront?" because it likely wasn't meant seriously, just a far-fetched possibility we wouldn't know about if there is no one to tell us about it.
Plus there's this matter of baggage retrieval system at Heathrow.

That could be the backdrop for an interesting puzzle game...
they're too busy making the same thread 3 times
