A really good strategy game, and it's quite unlike other RTS games. I already votes for it, but per someone's suggestion, I decided I should ask all of you who might be interested in this game to cast a vote as well: :)

I picked it up when Steam had it on sale. Excellent game just a shame the combat wasn't a little more fleshed out.

1. The someone gave you really bad advice. Why should it be good idea to create one of the most hated kind of threads?

2. You can get it DRM-free from Gamersgate.

3. It is nice game and I enjoyed it but to me it was damn to easy. I usually managed to takeover the whole map with one-province minor states.

I've seen a lot of threads talking about games that are not on GOG. Their intent was obviously to make people interested in the game in hope that it'll get on GOG, only thing is I said what my intention was directly. Sorry, I didn't mean to be annoying. :) At any rate, this is also a kind of 'recommendation' thread for people looking for RTS games, not just a 'please vote' thread.

It is a nice game...tactical combat casualty rates are insanely high, but aside from that it's a good one. Also a nice entry point in to this kind of game. I went from this in to the EU series. :)

If he must do it, this is the way to go about it. He's encouraging other users to vote for the game, which is not nearly as annoying as the oodles of threads simply saying "Waaah! Add thiz gaem to GOG naow! kthnxbye!"

This strategy game is best played using the "fast" victory conditions, rather than the conquer the world victory conditions because 1) you aren't given enough armies to conquer the world and 2) the game is still a challenge on the fast victory conditions.

The game has atmosphere but is not terribly challenging. It remains intense because 1) the world situation can change quickly, 2) because of the crusades, which are a great mechanic for breaking any stasis that might occur, 3) because buildings take time, especially at first and 4) getting all of the resources that you need requires long term planning that is nevertheless not complicated

No, the search function returns hits without any real reference to how old they are. When I search for Knights of Honor right now, one of the top three results is from 2009.
