i didnt even know activision was working on a revival
I can not wait for this!!
Ken and Roberta Williams were honored at the 2014 game awards. They talked about the next developers and showed a clip, talked about it a little bit.

Here it is if anyone is interested. It sticks out in my mind because at one point in the video Roberta hands over the iconic feathered hat to the new generation in charge of the series, and the guy completely misses the symbolism and hands it off to someone else. I thought it was really disrespectful at the time.

Still, hope the game works out well, that's an interesting cast they've assembled and I have a soft spot for the Kings Quest series.

Wow - just wow. The crowd even knew he was in the wrong right away. I am hoping it was nerves that made him remove the hat. But as the new developer he should know the history and the meaning of the hat. And even without that look who just handed it over to you - a legend, the reason you are even working on the game at all. Without here there would be no KQ. She could hand me her dirty napkin and it would be put some where to keep and show my kids some day.

Yeah. I think it was probably nerves and he didn't really think it through.

I don't think the symbolism of what she was doing could have been more obvious though, the emotion she shows when handing it over. I already loved the series but showing how much they care for the work they created as well as reading up a bit about them gave me a new level of respect for Ken and Roberta Williams, who I admit I didn't know too much about before. I hope the new developers do justice to the series.
Very interesting......!
Geez, the art style on those characters looks hideous and young Graham's characterization seems to be pretty off.

I really hope this will be good, but "reboots" or "revivals" have this nasty tendency to really go awry. They often forget what made the originals good and instead just have a lot of continuity references, jokes or catchphrases. As a result, they typically end up being hollow experiences with superficial faithfulness to its ancestry.
And I pray that "King's Quest" is just a provisional title; they should at least add a subtitle or something.

At least the voice acting will be better than in "King's Quest V".
