Hear ye, hear ye!

We couldn't be happier to announce that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and its Gold Edition are coming DRM-free to GOG this Spring!

It's time to start preparing for Henry's next adventures in this potentially GOTY-worthy RPG from our friends at Warhorse Studios.

Ready to crown your library with this beautiful creation and keep it forever? Because we sure are!
That's great! i am no longer "buying" (ie leasing) games from Steam for full price anymore, or even close to full price. Glad to hear it'll be available on GoG soon. I appreciate being able to own and run things offline should steam ever go under.

VausG: 1. "Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is not a Christian game" is the latest I believe.

botan9386: Kingdom Come 1 takes jabs at Christianity throughout the story, not sure why people would think it is supposed to uphold Christian values or whatever. It didn't feel like a game that was pushing religion one way or another.
It was nice.. It was there, but not pushed and not directly attacked.. it talked about abuses of power of rome at the time, less vetted or educated clergy, rampant superstition, simony, even had bits about Huss's critiques (at least the general stuff). It's a historical sim/rpg that doesn't shy away from the fact people sincerely believed, or at least culturally were religious.

Forgedreality: Is EVERYTHING you Reich-wingers do aimed at making your own lives (and of those around you) miserable? Holy shit. I hope you manage to find joy in something one day, friend.
'Everythings traditional or conservative is being literally hitler!' That is being you right now.

kai2: I do not believe any entity outside government (and even then it's difficult) should have such complete control of the gaming industry that this entity can create a singular message across all games -- like a magazine stand selling many different magazines, but inside they are all the same.

I also do not believe that "fan groups" should try and force gaming companies to only produce games -- with messages -- this group likes. Let game companies make the games they want to make! If those games don't reflect the interest(s) of the market (via sales) companies will be forced to look at their business model (and messaging) and reorganize accordingly (or not). Again, a magazine stand selling magazines that people don't want won't sell magazines for long.
If all these magazines are being filled with things the media and schools teach peoples to worship then the easily led ones will eat it up even if it's garbage while asking for more of it.

People grow tired of one kind of magazine. Want kids to rebel? Tell them one thing over-and-over-and-over again.

And then they repeating their own new things over and over again.
I'm already checking out the armours and they look absolutely beautiful (why yes, that's my fetish)

Found anything good?
I always enjoyed the armor sets in Witcher 2 more than Witcher 3 actually. But that's a fantasy RPG, so artistic freedom with something like dragon armor or elven armor is expected. KCD aims to be somewhat historically accurate. Function > Form.

There was once a funny picture with Henry being decked out in padded heavy armor, going ''This is fine'' that I cannot for the life of me find now.

Casual/non-armor clothing - yes.
Armor - here be sheet of metal.
This is no parade. boy.
Release the game already!!!! I want it on GOG- not Steam! lol

idbeholdME: EDIT:
Broke 150K concurrent.
Conflicted as to whether I should be happy or sad knowing these are all people buying the DRM copy. I will call this the: good game, but it's DRM paradox.
I'm going to guess it will be here in two months, say April 5th for my official guess.

How long was it until we got the first game? We had to wait for that one too, right?
I am really surprised how well the game seems to be optimized. I thought I would be not be able to run it on my PC but from what I read on the steam forums the game runs well even on older GPUs without any upscaling.. Good thing they didnt jump on Unreal too...
1 million sales within 24 hours reported:

We'll have to wait to do our part here on GOG.
Disclaimer: I have never pre-ordered a game (just not worth it IMHO)

Having said that I guess GoGers are getting screwed on pre-order bonuses?

(All i remember is t hat you get a hunter outfit with pre-orders)

Despotism: Will there be some way to get the The Lion’s Crest pre-order bonus quest on GOG?
avatar
CMiq: Chances are GOG doesn't know either.
Either ask Warhorse directly, or just wait and see.

There are also drops for the game atm. I was watching the game on twtich for few hours when it came out and I got a bunch of notifications that I got an item for the game - quite a few items. I was surprised how many notifications I had.

I would love to play it now, but I'll wait. I'll wait especially because I prefer having it on GOG over Steam. Do you already know when it will be released on your platform in spring?
